Q: Who are Peroptyx?

Evaluators around the world who deliver personal insights and data that reflect the
behaviors and expectations of consumers in your country. These datasets are
continually refreshed and self-synchronize with Peroptyx customer machine learning
initiatives, to help them create a more human experience for online content and
services in your country..

Q: What customers do we work for?


A. Peroptyx helps emerging and established global technology companies better
anticipate consumer behaviors and expectations in over 100 countries, by simplifying
and accelerating delivery of the most reliable machine learning datasets which
significantly improve the AI behind their online products and services.

Q: What is a Peroptyx Evaluator?


A: Peroptyx Evaluator is an Independent Contractor who provides services by
giving their feedback and insights which improves online products and services they use
every day, in return for fair and competitive compensation.

Q: What is the official job title?


A: Peroptyx Evaluator (working as a Data Analyst for digital maps).

Q: Is there a Minimum Age to join Peroptyx Programs?


A: We have a minimum requirement that all Evaluators must be 18 years old or
older.

Q. How many hours do I need to work?


A: You can work up to, but not more than, 20 hours per week at times that fit
around your schedule. Task availability is not guaranteed.

Q: Are there any sign-on fees to become an Independent


Contractor working for Peroptyx?
A: Peroptyx does not charge any administration fees. We are completely upfront
about this and will always message changes in advance.

Q: What if I don’t speak English, can I still do the work?


A: You need to be able to read and write well in English to work on the program. This is
why we ask for this upfront effort in our recruitment process.

Q: Can I work across two markets?


A: You can only work and do tasks in one country- the country you live in.

Q: Do I have to travel for work?


A: No, you do not need to travel to work - work can be carried out from your
home office and is largely research based.

Q: Do I get paid for any expenses incurred?


A: You do not get reimbursed for any expenses related to this position. You are
responsible for providing your own workstation and equipment whilst working on any
of the Peroptyx programs.

Q: Do I need to purchase special software to become an Evaluator?


A: No, but we do ask that your laptop / desktop / tablet device uses antivirus or
antimalware software and maintains the latest updates.

Q: How can I contact the Peroptyx Team?


A: You can message us through your personal dashboard or by emailing us on
[email protected]. For Assure issues, please email [email protected]
Q: Can someone that I live with apply?
A: We only allow one member per household to apply.

Q: How long does the whole process take to work through?


A: You can complete the entire process within 2 -4 days. It largely depends on
the time you have to dedicate to the process also. We recommend you take break when
doing the final assessment for best results. Most candidates do it over a number of
days.

Assessment Preparation

Q: What is the best way to prepare for the final assessment?


A: The best way to prepare is to read the program guidelines and the tips and
tricks provided. For best results you should use the Simulator to play and practice so
that you get familiar with the final assessment environment. If you pass the practice
assessment you are ready to start. There are lots of easy and hard question sets to try so
give yourself the best shot by trying them.

Q: Can I have the guidelines in my language?


A: We do not provide the guidelines in different languages because all project work is
carried out through the medium of the English. You will need to have a good command
of the English language to be successful on the program.

Q: I can’t access the guidelines; the password won’t work?


A: The password provided from the candidate simulator must be copied carefully
when you paste into the password field of the guidelines document. It will work so make
sure you don’t have any extra spacing issues.

Q: Are the guidelines printable?


A: No, we do not allow the guidelines to be printed. This is for
confidentiality and copyright reasons. Please use your browser to view the guidelines
and bookmark them for easy access.
Final Assessment
Q: How long do I have to take exam?
A: You can take the exam over two weeks. It is best practice to take it as soon as
you get your invitation. Candidates who take the assessment just after reviewing the
guidelines and SIM score best in the assessment.

Q: When will I get the results of my exam?


A: You will be notified by us via email about your result within 1-2 business days.

Q: Can I re-take the final assessment?


A: You can only re-take the assessment once and only if you score well i.e., get 1-
2 questions incorrect.

Q: When can I repeat the final assessment?


A: You will be notified within a week if you are eligible to re-take the exam. If you
don’t hear from us, it means you didn’t hit the assessment threshold.

During & After I pass the final Assessment

Q: I can’t login to TryRating?


A: When you save your changes in your Preparation Portal to indicate you
are ready to get started preparing, an invitation will be sent to your email with
temporary login credentials. This email will be from

Q: Can I reset my TryRating password?


A: Once you have signed up you will be able to reset your password from
the “forgot password” link in TryRating, www.tryrating.com/login/reset-password

Q: I can’t see any tasks in TryRating?


A: If you can’t see tasks in TryRating it generally means you have finished the
exam and you will get a result soon.

Q: I am doing surveys and I don’t know how many more I need to


do did I pass the exam or not?
A: You should continue to do surveys to a maximum of 40 tasks. Please keep
going - if you continue to see tasks, it’s a positive sign that you are doing great

Q: I’ve completed the tasks in the Simulator. What are the next
steps?
A: The next step is to take the assessment. Please check your email for an
invite to our working platform TryRating www.TryRating.com/home. You should try
and complete the assessment soon whilst the tips and tricks are still fresh in your mind.
If you pass, you will hear from our team with the onboarding steps to get started on the
program. You will be asked to sign contracts and upload banking details for payment
ahead of rating.

Q: When do I officially start earning?


A: You start earning after you have passed the final assessment, uploaded all the
requested information, reviewed your country specific guidelines and then start rating
tasks for your country.

Q: When and how do I get paid?


A: You will get paid a competitive hourly rate of pay for your country. Fees for
services invoiced are paid within 30 days. You may incur bank fees in relation to
payment – this is subject to your own bank’s terms and conditions.

Q: Do I get paid by the hour or task?


A: If you pass the final assessment and start rating tasks, you will get paid at the
hourly rate outlined in assessment success stage. You must work within the estimated
task times shown within each task you rate.
You are required to record your time each week in your timesheet. You will receive your
blank timesheet after you upload your bank details.

Q: Do I need a bank account in my own name?


A: Yes, you need a bank account that is registered in your own name only and is
in the country in which you currently live.

Q: How do I manage my taxes?


A: You are responsible for the payment of your own taxes whether you are
an independent person or corporation. We require a Tax ID as part of our recruitment
process. It is important that you always comply with local tax laws in your country.
Peroptyx will provide US Evaluators with a 10-99 Miscellaneous form, for end-of-year
tax fillings.
We cannot advise you on your tax affairs. We recommend that you get advice from a
reputable source on the payment of taxes in your country if you are unsure how to file
your taxes as an independent contractor.
