KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
@ Philips
Operations Improvement: Enabled ~5x YoY BoM & TCO savings by department reorganization, way of working
definition and continuous operations improvement. Also supported 23M € Assurance of Supply risk mitigation
Outcome Based Outsourcing: Moved engineering outsourcing to outcome based from time & material business
model. This has potential of 20% cost saving in 2023 baselined for 2022 work volume.
@ Rolls-Royce
Site Leadership: Established Rolls Royce’s (RR) new captive center in Bangalore as a reliable engineering partner
to the global organization by leading the complex fabrications, combustion and casing team; created plans for team
growth; recruited talent; developed competency framework that resulted in certification of 3 Design, 2 Stress and 1
Integration Signatories; managed operations, focused on quality as well as costs
NPI Delivery: Directed delivery of Trent XWB 84EP Combustion Module components including Liner, Rear Inner
Discharge Nozzle, High Pressure Outlet Guide Vanes, Combustion Rear Inner Casing and Turbine Casings.
Virtually validated combustor module for Pearl 700/15through analysis and simulation. Provided design solutions for
unit mounts and fabricated components for Trent 7000, Pearl 700 and Trent XWB 84
Cost of Non-Quality Reduction and Zero Defect Drive for APAC Combustion and Casing Supply Chain:
Directed scope definition and established the framework for reducing manufacturing non-conformance for
combustion and casing components supplied by APAC Supply Chain. Secured 8.5 million USD cost of non-quality
saving per year
Change Management - Internal Work Package Transfer: Smoothly transferred Trent 7000 and Trent 1000–TEN
combustor production support work from RR USA by taking initiative of proactively demonstrating site capabilities
and engaging with stakeholders across ranks. Ensured no performance drop during transition. In January 2021,
transitioned engineering work as well as teams to Infosys in India as part of Infosys – Rolls Royce strategic
partnership; contributed in operations (work load and commercial coverage) strand of transition planning.
Change Management - Supplier Transfer: Led Technical proposal and won 250 FTE Non-Conformance
Management work package for 5 Years for Infosys in competitive bidding. Smoothly transitioned the work from
incumbent without any build disruption in 4 Months duration (Sept 2021 – Jan 2022).
Process Standardization and Automation: Enabled the team to publish 6 Rolls Royce Guidance Material and
10+ How-to Guides, which defined SOPs and optimum methods to perform analysis and simulation of aero-engine
assemblies. Also, delivered 500K+ USD (YoY) in savings through automation and process improvements
Innovation and Thought Leadership: Created a culture of innovation as the founding chairman of RR Bangalore’s
Innovation Council, resulting in 17 conference/journal publications and 14 information disclosures for patents in 2
years. Jointly patented material processing process for fuel injectors; Co-authored 6 papers in International
Journals/Conferences.
