1. Good day everyone, Thank you dear moderator for giving a brief overview of this hot topic, I will
briefly give my humble opinion as the second panellist for today.

Ladies and gentlemen,

The issue arises whether abortion should be legalised or not.

I AGREE that abortion to be legalised because
The ability to decide whether to get pregnant is a privilege for married couples to
plan their pregnancy, however not all women get this privilege. Some women are
raped causing them to have a child that is not their own’s. Leaving one’s own life to
carry out a responsibility to care for the child, if abortion is illegal, it will intervene
with their social and economic factors.

Dear people,
Banning or restricting abortion takes away a person’s ability to decide whether to continue
a pregnancy and threatens their equality and ability to thrive–in our society. Raising a child
in today’s modern world is challenging and not cheap. The child may end up growing and
living in poverty not getting the education and basic resources that they require. For
example, the child might not get the best milk formula that it needs, or the education that
they require. Moreover, being forced to carry a pregnancy to term exposes people to high
childcare costs.

For a pregnant woman who already has children, raising additional children means fewer
resources for each child’s needs. The economical issue in Malaysia is another topic to
discuss, but it is affecting the lives of these mothers to raise their children in this current
economical country. Pregnant individuals who obtain an abortion are less likely to
experience economic hardship and insecurity. In fact, people who are denied an
abortion are nearly four times more likely than those that get a wanted abortion to
be in the poverty line.3

Being forced to carry a pregnancy exposes people who decide to parent to burdens on
their working and earning. Having a child often limits an individual’s ability to continue
working and advance professionally. Mothers and pregnant people can face a “maternal
wall” of bias and discrimination in the workplace.30 They are less likely to be hired,
promoted, or trained for management positions and may be viewed as less competent and
committed to their work. PERIOD. FULL STOP.

People are doing abortion illegally, because there is no legal way to do abortion. In
most of the countries it is illegal that’s why theyre finding a way todo it otherwise,
they will eventually find out a way to do it illegally.

unsafe, why don’t we legalise abortion and let people do it the safe way. There is
