1. a. Name two types of headings in the type written documents. (2 marks)


b. Differentiate between the headings identified above in 1. a. (3 marks)

2. Explain, with the use of a diagram, the three main styles of paragraphs. (9 marks)

3. Write the proofreader’s marks for the following terms:


I. Run on
II. Lower case
III. Insert a full stop
IV. Delete (4 marks)

4. a. Carefully read the following passage. Insert the punctuation marks which have been
omitted, then copy the corrected passage. (4 marks)

b. State the term which has the same meaning as each of the following definitions:

(a) To duplicate a portion of a document


(b) To remove text from a document

5. Edit and re-write the following passage, correcting all errors, please circle ALL corrections

Practical Assignment. (25 marks)

Correctly reproduce the Manuscript below in double line spacing. Set margins for a left bound
manuscript.

Make paragraph two an indented paragraph and the last paragraph a Hanging paragraph.
Insert a footnote at Entrepreneur as follows: “a person who organizes and manages a commercial
undertaking.”
Create a suitable Shoulder heading for the last paragraph
