Introduction of our NGO’s:
Meenakshi Shiksha Samiti:

A non-governmental organization (NGO) is a non-profit group that functions

independently of any government NGOs, sometimes called civil societies, are organized
on community, national and international levels to serve a social or political goal such as
humanitarian causes or the environment.

Meenakshi shiksha samiti is a committee of men ,women and young children and
students who come from all walks of life with the motto of being the change they want
to see in the society in terms of education and all. The biggest problem our country faces
is the presence of too many people discussing issues but few trying to find solutions.
Where we understand that finding loopholes are important, we believe every small
action gets counted and it is important that we give away the complaints and try to do
things for a brighter tomorrow.

If we want our democracy to work, it becomes extremely important that civil society is
responsible and actively involved because when we get to choose the government, we
become a part of it and as has been rightly said, with great power comes great
responsibilities.

Our committee has moto to help every person and society. Work for only society
development. Like food distribution, copies pencil pen or study material distribution for
children, or many mor things help for society development and encouragement of youth
to do something for their nation.

NGO activities include, but are not limited to, environmental, social, advocacy and
human rights works. They can work to promote social or political change on a broad
scale or very locally. NGO play a critical part in developing society, improving
communities, and promoting citizen participation.
With the help of the NGO Meenakshi Shiksha Samiti, we've been working on
our community development project, and they've been organising meetings
through Zoom. We were given instructions and training by Mr. Kushant Garg,
to prepare us for the task at hand. We were given the task of identifying the
challenges in our society and city, as well as finding suitable solutions to
address them. In addition, we were encouraged to take part in voluntary
work.
Problem and Cause Identification of Animal Deaths from Garbage
Consumption and Deforestation's Impact on Climate Change

● In our society, we are confronted with two pressing issues that require
immediate attention and combined efforts:

1. Garbage Mismanagement: This issue

revolves around the painful deaths of animals
caused by the consumption of garbage being
randomly dumped in our society and town.
● It's a risk to wildlife and has an adverse
impact on the overall cleanliness and hygiene
of our environment.

2. Deforestation and Habitat Loss: The second

issue concerns to deforestation which has
resulted in having effects in our environment,
including the climate change, loss of
biodiversity etc.
● The changing climate due to deforestation
has had a significant effect on our once-cold
side of the town which is present in between
of the mountains.

● It has disturbed the delicate balance of our

ecosystem, leading to altered weather
patterns, such as a noticeable decrease in
snowfall in our town with each passing year,
increased temperatures, and other adverse effects.
Objective to be achieved

● To reduce the negative consequences of climate change in our mountain town

brought on by logging and altered weather patterns.

● To encourage reforestation initiatives and rebalance our ecosystem in an effort to

counteract climate change.

● To promote healthy land-use methods in our community and increase

understanding of the value of forests.

● To deal with the issue of animals eating trash that has been carelessly put
throughout our town.

● To set up effective waste management methods and inform the neighbourhood

about proper waste disposal.

● To ensure that animals have adequate nutrition and that they do not eat garbage
due to hunger, which boosts their welfare and reduces the harmful effects of
garbage abuse.
Various Step Taken To Achieve The Objective:

● Achieving the objectives in animal deaths from garbage consumption and

deforestation's impact on change requires a multi-faceted approach involving
various steps and actions. Here are some of the key steps that can be taken to
work towards these objectives:

● Waste Management and Recycling:

Improve waste management infrastructure and encourage recycling programs to
reduce the amount of waste entering the environment. Proper waste
management prevents animals from consuming harmful substances and reduces
the risk and other accidents.
To show our commitment, we took part in volunter work to clean a field filled with
garbage. We emphasised the significance of picking up after oneself and properly
disposing of garbage in the assigned garbage bins.

● Public awareness and education:

Increase public awareness of the harmful consequences of improper waste
disposal and deforestation on wildlife and the environment. Implement training
programs and campaigns to promote responsible waste management and
sustainable forestry practices.

● Legislation and Policy Development:

Advocate for the creation and implementation of strong environmental laws and
policies at local, national, and international levels. These should cover areas such
as pollution control, wildlife protection, land use, and renewable energy
promotion.
● Community Involvement:
Involve local communities in conservation efforts, respecting their knowledge and
incorporating traditional practices that promote sustainability. Engaging
communities in decision-making processes fosters a sense of ownership and
responsibility for the environment.

● Ecosystem Restoration:
Identify and prioritize areas that require ecosystem restoration and rehabilitation.
Implement restoration projects, such as reforestation, wetland restoration, and
habitat creation to enhance biodiversity and ecosystem services.

● Supporting Sustainable Practices:

To reduce the impacts on natural habitats, there is a need to promote sustainable
farming and logging practices. The restoration of ecosystems and the protection of
species threatened by habitat loss can be facilitated through support for
agroforestry, ethical logging wewdand reforestation projects.

● Reforestation and Afforestation:

In order to counter the impact of deforestation, We took a initiative of tree
planting drives and reforestation projects. In promoting biodiversity, reducing
conflict between humans and wild animals, the restoration and expansion of
natural habitats provide refuge and food for wildlife.
Effectiveness of the project:
The effectiveness of our community development project which was
mainly focusing on reforestation, animal care, and cleanliness can be
assessed through various indicators and measures. Here are some key points
to consider when evaluating the effectiveness of our project:
• Environmental Impact:
o Reforestation: Measure the increase in the number of trees
planted, their survival rate, and the expansion of green
cover in the area.
o Animal Care: Evaluate improvements in the well-being and
health of animals, such as decreased instances of neglect,
abuse, or abandonment.
o Cleanliness: Monitor reductions in litter, pollution, and
waste in the community.

• Biodiversity Enhancement:
Reforestation: Assess whether the project has led to an
increase in local plant and animal species diversity due to
improved habitat availability.
Animal Care: Evaluate whether the project has contributed
to the protection of local wildlife and their habitats.
• Economic Impact:
Analyzing any economic benefits that might emerged from
the project, such as job creation related to reforestation,
animal care facilities, or waste management.
• Health and Well-being:
Evaluate whether improved cleanliness and better
environmental conditions have led to positive health
outcomes for community members, such as reduced
instances of waterborne diseases.

• Education and Awareness:

Measuring the increase in knowledge and awareness of
community members regarding the importance of
reforestation, animal welfare, and cleanliness.
Tracking the adoption of sustainable practices by community
members in their daily lives.
• Collaboration and Partnerships:
Assessing the project's ability to collaborate with local
organizations, government agencies, and NGOs. Strong
partnerships can enhance the project's impact and reach.
• Monitoring and Evaluation:
Regularly reviewing and assessing the project's progress
against its predefined goals and objectives.
Adjusting project strategies based on ongoing monitoring
and feedback from community members.
• Feedback from Stakeholders:
Seeking feedback from community members, beneficiaries,
and other stakeholders to understand their perspectives on
the project's effectiveness and areas for improvement.
• Quantitative and Qualitative Data:
By use of a combination of quantitative data (numbers,
statistics) and qualitative data (interviews, surveys,
narratives) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the
project's impact.
Overall, the effectiveness of our project will depend on its ability to
create positive and sustainable changes in the targeted areas of
reforestation, animal care, and cleanliness, as well as its ability to
engage and empower the community. Regular assessment, flexibility in
adapting strategies, and ongoing community involvement are crucial for
ensuring our project's success and long-term impact.
CONCLUSION
Recently, social welfare forces have changed many lives, communities and the hopes of
young people. In India, the main problem is unhygienic and poverty. Many people died
because of uncleanliness. The bacterial-germs are affecting the people in many ways. It
is due to the surrounding areas are not clean. Due to public toilets many people joined in
government hospitals to cure their skin infections. This problems will not arise if we and
our surroundings are clean. Our government is also helping the people to be clean by
introducing various programs like SWACCHBHARATH etc. Such type of community
development projects will helps in the development of villages. We have to create
awareness among people so that we can achieve a lot of things useful for the
development of village and also country.
In these 40 days I encouraged many people from my community to do
plantation, keeping surroundings clean, feeding stray animals, saving environment
and propagated knowledge which I gain from my experience to my community.
Polluted environment and air will be made clean and I can also inspire other
people about the cleanliness and feed the poor stray animal by the project I've
been given. Plantations may not be the only solution to stop global warming, but
they can be one of the most effective approaches. There will be a significant
reduction in environmental pollutants and trash around us.We should also try to
feed and help stray animals as they also suffer a lot from being abandoned and
malnourished and injured. Ultimately, the responsibility of ensuring that animals
do not suffer on the streets is with us.They deserve the safety, shelter, and love
that a home or a protected environment can offer .In my experience, individuals
typically feel sluggish to perform such things, but in truth, they have the power to
sharpen our attention, promote optimistic thinking, and bring out the best in us.
So we should plant at least once in our life to save our environment, keep our
surroundings clean, help the animals and motivate others to do the same. This
might help to reduce the pollution and keep our surroundings clean.
I conclude my CDP (Community Development Project) by giving thanks to all the
members who assigned me such a project and the people who helped me
throughout my project which was full of experience and learnings
