Executive Summary
This proposal aims to secure funding for premium memberships on specialized cybersecurity
platforms for 20 students at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. The
initiative seeks to augment the practical hacking skills of students passionate about
cybersecurity through a bi-annual Capture The Flag (CTF) competition with this proposed as the
first of many.

Objectives
1. To provide 20 students with premium memberships on specialized cybersecurity
platforms.

2. To enhance the practical hacking skills of students.

3. To prepare students for real-world cybersecurity challenges through bi-annual CTF


competitions.

Methodology
1. Selection Criteria: The initial selection of students will be done through a CTF
competition spread over multiple cybersecurity categories. The competition will be
engineered and designed to increase in difficulty, with prizes of vouchers offered across
different positions.

2. Distribution: Premium memberships will be distributed to the winners of the CTF


competition depending on the number of vouchers provided to ensure every participant
benefits in some way.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation: Regular assessments will be conducted to measure the


effectiveness of this initiative by interviewing the recipients on the usefulness of the
vouchers. A bi-annual CTF will be held to refresh the recipients of the vouchers.

The budget is a crucial aspect of this proposal as it outlines the financial resources
needed to successfully implement the program. Below is a breakdown of the
