Name AEROMINDS AVIATION WORKSHOP
Synopsis This is a one-day Aviation Workshop that will take place in Universiti Pertahanan Nasional
Malaysia (UPNM) in 2023, offering an immersive and engaging opportunity for participants to
delve into the realm of aviation.
Through a carefully crafted itinerary, this workshop aims to provide students with the key
facets of aviation, gaining insights into its history, aerodynamics, basic principles, and
practical applications.
Course Objectives:
1. Ignite Curiosity: Spark a passion for aviation through engaging sessions, fostering a
desire for further exploration.
2. Interactive Learning: Offer an immersive learning experience, enabling participants to
absorb intricate aviation concepts with ease.
3. Foster collaborative teamwork: Create a space where students learn about teamwork,
collaboration and effective communication through engaging group activities and
strengthening unity among students.
4. Foundation for Future Exploration: Lay the groundwork for potential extension into
more advanced aviation studies, paving the way for a deeper understanding of various
facets of the dynamic aviation field.

Instructors
1. Lt. Col. Ass. Prof. Mohamed Tarmizi Ahmad (Retired). He received his BSc
Aeronautical Engineering at Kingston Polytechnic and MSc in Aerodynamic and
Applied Flight Mechanics from Cranfield Institute of Technology UK. He has vast
experiences in aircraft maintenance, manufacturing and flight-testing, development
of guided systems including missiles and UAV. He is also a pilot with PPL, had
assembled, and tested experimental aircraft and flight simulator. He is also an
inventor and designer and has won gold awards in local and international invention
competitions. He lectured on various courses including Aviation System Engineering
Management, Aviation Safety and Security and on Airworthiness and Certification.
He was a former Air Force engineer and CEO in SME Aviation and Director of SME
Inc. Tallahassee Florida
2. Captain Tc. Imran Ismail was exposed to the corporate world at an incredibly early age
and has spent more than 20 years building his entrepreneurial credentials. He
currently serves as the Group CEO of a diverse organization where he has gained
expertise mostly in the fields of media, agribusiness, construction management,
aviation, and business beginning. He enjoys flying a lot and is presently the club
captain and licensed flying instructor for the Royal Selangor Flying Club flying for
decades flying various type of aircraft both land and sea category airplane. He has
experience in creating programs from short courses to graduation level thanks to his
time spent in the education and training industry. He has a commercial pilot license
(CAAM) and a professional diploma in entrepreneurship and business management
from Universiti Malaya. He is now an MBA candidate at the Universiti Teknologi
Malaysia. Capt. Imran is a member of MBOT, a qualified technician divemaster.

3. Captain Danial Imran boasts more than 6 years of flying experience across a diverse
fleet of ten different aircraft models. He has earned both Malaysian and American (FAA)
Commercial Pilot Licenses, as well as an FAA certification as a flight instructor (CFI).
Currently, he serves as the sole provider of CPL training at the Air Adventure Flying
Club in Malaysia. Furthermore, Capt. Danial's professional background extends
beyond piloting, as he also has a wealth of experience as an Aerospace Engineer. He
has conducted research and worked in the aviation industry in the fields of flight
simulation, aviation safety, and experimental flight testing.
