Each stakeholder in education plays a unique role and can help increase support for
educational goals.
As stated in Section 2 of the Republic Act 9155 known as “Governance of Basic Education
Act of 2001”, the parents and the community shall be encouraged for active involvement in the
education of the child. The participation and coordination between and among schools, the local
school board, the Parent Teacher Association must be maximized. This provision strongly
upholds the currently initiatives of schools in involving the different groups of stakeholders in
school improvement process. (A Manual on School Governing Council).
SMRDHS (Mabato High School Annex) is one among the public schools in the
Department of Education which is continuously taking initiatives in pursuing school
improvements. Despite the fact that there is a lack of funds to sustain the needs of our school,
the desire to give our clientele the best service is still being pushed through.
Thus, considering that the month of December is a season of giving and sharing, the
school head of the school together with the teaching and non-teaching staff, find it timely to
conduct a fund-raising activity in a form of caroling and a gift-giving activity. This will be done
through the help of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association and with the cooperation of
stakeholders.
These proposed activities will be the avenue to establish productive relationship with the
community and the stakeholders to build strong bonds and camaraderie while achieving our
goals and objectives at the same time.
