Problem statement:

Conduct a design study on the aircraft assigned to you. Answer all the below mentioned
questions with a short paragraph from the aircraft assigned. The weightage for each question is
given.

1. Mission – 5%

2. Dimensions and Performance parameters details – 5%

3. Unique design features and its necessity (Example: tailless aircraft and it is needed for….. bi
plane and it is needed for….) – 20%

4. Design history – 40%

i) Design evolution, previous versions, constraints faced, Design challenges, operational

challenges, design modifications etc

5. Wing configuration and explain its suitability for this aircraft mission. – 10%

6. Tail arrangement and explain its suitability for this aircraft mission. – 10%

7. Power plant and explain its suitability for this aircraft mission. – 10%

8. Any interesting incident about the aircraft.
