1. Creating Maintenance Strategy – IP11


1.1. To create a Maintenance Strategies, navigate to Logistics -->Plant Maintenance-->Preventive Maintenance
-->Maintenance Planning-->Maintenance Strategies or use T-code: IP11

• Choose New entries
• You reach the detail screen for maintenance strategies.
• Enter the necessary data.

1.2. Call up the entry screen for maintenance packages in the overview tree by clicking twice on Packages
1.2.1.Choose New entries.
1.2.2.The system makes the fields ready for input.
1.2.3.Enter the necessary data.
1.2.4.Save the maintenance strategy.

2. Creating a Maintenance Task List


2.1. To create a new task list, navigate to Logistics --> Plant Maintenance --> Preventive Maintenance --> Work
Scheduling --> Task Lists
• To create each type of Task list, you have to enter different details as shown in the following screenshot.

2.2. To create General Maintenance task list – IA05, enter no data and click on Continue. You can enter an existing
group number and click Continue.

2.3. Once you click continue, you have to enter the header data in the task list.

2.4. Select operation tab and fill operation details and assign.

3. Creating Maintenance Plan – IP42


3.1. To create a single cycle plan, navigate to Logistics --> Plant Maintenance --> Preventive Maintenance -->
Maintenance Planning --> Maintenance Plans --> Create -->Strategy Plan Or use T-code: IP42

3.2. In the next window, enter the Maintenance plan category and Strategy then click Continue.

3.3. You have to maintain the following data:


• Reference object
• Planning Data
• Order type
• General maintenance task list

3.4. Next go to, Maintenance Plan Scheduling parameters and enter the relevant data scheduling period and the
start of the cycle then save it.

4. Scheduling for Maintenance Plans


4.1. To Scheduling for maintenance plan, navigate to Logistics -> Plant Maintenance -> Maintenance Planning ->
Scheduling for Maintenance Plans -> Schedule OR USE T-CODE: IP10

4.2. Then enter the maintenance plan number to schedule on the Schedule Maintenance Plan:
Initial screen. Press enter to continue.

4.3. After that, click on the Start icon on the menu bar to schedule the order as per the maintenance plan.

4.4. Next select the first row from the scheduling list and release it by clicking on the Release icon and click
save.

• After releasing Status Are changed


• Then select the first row and click on Display

4.5. Now display the order number and further details.

4.6. Now you can check the order number generated from T code IP24 /IW38 List display.

4.7. Deadline monitoring of plans of Work order – IP30

• One and more Plan scheduling Maintenance Plan in IP30.

5. Release and Execution of work order.


5.1. To Scheduling for maintenance plan, navigate to Logistics -> Plant Maintenance-> Maintenance
Processing-> Order-> Change or use T-code: IW32

6. Confirmation work order


6.1. To Scheduling for maintenance plan, navigate to Logistics -> Plant Maintenance-> Maintenance
Processing-> Completion Confirmation -> Entry ->Individual Time Confirmation or use T-code: IW41

6.2. On the initial screen of the transaction, enter the order numbers. Next, press enter button and the
following screen will appear.

6.3. here, you should enter the required details as explained below.
Personnel Number Employee who is assigned to perform the maintenance operation at a work
center in the respective plant.
Actual Work Time taken to complete the work and in which period it has occurred.

Activity Type Indicates which type of activity was performed.


Remaining Work If the work is not completed, then how long will it take to complete the work.
Actual Duration Time consumed to complete the operation
Forecast End Expected time and date to complete the operation.
Final Confirmation Marked when the operation is fully completed.
Checkbox
Clear Open Reservation At the time of creation of SAP maintenance order several materials have been
reserved for an operation but some of them are used. Marking clear open
reservation indicates that outstanding reservation should be cleared.
No Remaining Work Indicates no further work is expected on this operation/order.

Confirmation Text Free text.

6.4. From here you can also post goods movement, process the material list can be entered.

6.5. Finally, press Save button. SAP PM completion confirmation will be saved for the order and operation.
Now, check the status for order, it will be set CNF

7. Technical Confirmation order


7.1. To Scheduling for maintenance plan, navigate to Logistics -> Plant Maintenance -> Maintenance
Processing -> Order -> Change or use T-code- IW32
• Next, select the technically complete flag icon or go to Order -> Completion -> Complete
Technically.
• A new dialog box will appear where you should select complete notifications checkbox.

7.2. Now, check the maintenance order again. The system status will be set to TECO and NOCO
• T-code- IW32 for order.

• T-code – IW23 for Notification.

8.1. Select Complete business and closed the work order.

Breakdown Maintenance Process.


1. Creating Breakdown Notification
1.1. To create a notification, navigate to Logistics -> Plant Maintenance -> Maintenance Processing -> Notifications -
> Create or use T-code: IW21

1.2. Click Create Notification and you will be prompted to select a Notification type.

1.3. Next window, enter the notification description. To get the functional location, go to the functional location
field and search from the available list. Next is to select the Equipment. Select the Equipment number by
technical Id number and click the tick mark button to populate this.

Enter the value for the following fields:

• Planner group field


• Main WorkCtr. field
• Person response. Field
• Reported by field
• Subject Long Text field

1.4. To save the notification, click the Save button.

2. Creating Breakdown Order for Notification


2.1. To create a breakdown maintenance order for notification, navigate to Logistics - > Plant Maintenance ->
Maintenance Processing -> Order -> Create (Special) -> Order the notification. Or use T-code: IW34.

2.2. Enter the notification number. Select the order type as BD01 Breakdown Maintenance Order Once you enter
the details, click the tick mark at the top.

2.3. Fill in all the positions in Header data.

2.4. Go to Operations tab and enter all the details. Add other operations as required.

2.5. Click the Component tab to assign components that are required for the operations.

2.6. Then click on green flag to order release & save.

3. Confirmation work order


3.1. To Scheduling for maintenance plan, navigate to Logistics -> Plant Maintenance-> Maintenance
Processing-> Completion Confirmation -> Entry ->Individual Time Confirmation or use T-code: IW41

3.2. On the initial screen of the transaction, enter the order numbers. Next, press enter button and the
