1.ORGANIZER
Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) in coordination with the Philippine Olympic
Committee (POC) , the Philippine Badminton Association (PBA), Department of Interior and Local
Government (DILG), Department of Education, the Leagues of Municipalities ,Cities, & Province.
1. The Batang Pinoy is a multi-sports competition for Filipino youth (17 years old and below);
2. Participants must be born on and year thereafter (Birth Year not Birth date);
3. An athlete should participate as a member of the official delegation of a
particular LGU. The athlete should have a Philippine Passport a copy of which
should be submitted;
5. An athlete with foreign parents born in the Philippines shall present
NO BATANG PINOY ID, NO PLAY. ID SHOULD BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND ALL
VENUES FOR THE DURATION OF THE EVENT; and
11. Lost ID will be replaced but only after submitting the following:
12. Incident report signed by the concerned person and noted by the Head Delegation
13. Affidavit of loss duly-notarized
14. Police report
REQUIREMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:
1. MEDICAL CLEARANCE signed by a licensed medical doctor for the last months;
2. WAIVER OF MEDICAL LIABILITY signed by the parents/guardian attached with
photo copy of parent’s or guardian’s valid ID who will sign the waiver
3. DELEGATION LIST with LGU DRY SEAL and duly signed by the Provincial Governor,
Batang Pinoy.
o 1 copy of 2x2 ID picture taken within the last 2 months with white background.
o Athletes Entry Form completely filled-out and signed by the athlete and Head Coach.
5.Only those athletes that have complete submitted requirements shall be registered
and IDs will be prepared.
4.EVENTS
To qualify, player must be born on

5.TOURNAMENT RULES
1.1 The tournament shall be run in accordance with the current rules and regulations of the
Badminton World Federation and the Philippine Badminton Association. However in matter
not provided for in these rules and regulations, decision shall rest with the organizing /
technical committee.
1.2 All events will be played on a single elimination format.
1.3 The decision of the Referee on any question or disputes during the competition is final.
6.COMPOSITION OF PLAYERS
per LGU are as follows:
(9-11 years old) 1 Boy, 1 Girl
(12-14 years old) 3 Boys and 3 Girls
(15-17 year old). 3 Boys and 3 Girls.
7.SCORING SYSTEM
1. BWF Alternative scoring system 1-15,best of 3 games will be used in all events.
1. Seeding will be based on last year Batang Pinoy result in Vigan City.
2. Draws will be done two (2) days before the actual competition. Coaches or Representatives
of each participating LGU’s are invited to witness the draw.
3. Non Attendance of the Team Manager’s meeting means that the Team Manager / Coach are
agreeable to all the guidelines and rules during the meeting.

10.COMPETITION UNIFORM
10.1 As per BWF Regulations on clothing and advertisement and to ensure attractive presentation
of Badminton, all players are required to wear acceptable badminton attire. It is also
recommended that doubles partner wear the same color of shirts and short when playing in
doubles.
10.2 It is also recommended, if possible that all finalist wear shirts with their names printed on the
back to aid the media and spectators in identifying the players (6 cm min. 10 cm max. height.
Coaches must wear proper attire, Shirt, long pants, close shoes. No sandals, shorts, tokong,
sleeveless shirt.
10.3 During awarding ceremony, players and coaches must wear the badminton
prescribed uniform.
10. INJURIES
11. COACHING
11.1 Coaches may give advice to the players when the shuttle is NOT IN PLAY
as long as they do not cause delay.
11.2 Coaches may enter the court during intervals and must leave when the 20-
second remaining time is announced by the umpire.
12.DEFAULTING TIME
No defaulting time will be implemented for the entire event. It’s a mandatory that player must be
in the playing venue one (1) hour before his / her scheduled match. Failure to arrive on time will
result to a walk over. Coach of defaulted player must file a written explanation to be submitted to the
Tournament Director, and this will be reported to PSC and concern LGU.
13.PROTEST

4. The protest must be signed by the Head of the Delegation only whose name appear o
the Delegation list submitted. Filed protest signed by any other person shall not accepted
or entertained.
5. The protest form must be submitted in duplicate to the Batang Pinoy National Secretariat.
6. The protest must be filed by the petitioning LGU right before the start of the medal round.
Filing of protest after the start of the medal round will not be accepted or entertained.
7. A non-refundable protest fee of Ten Thousand Pesos (P 10,000.00) shall be paid by the
petitioning LGU.
NON-ATTENDANCE IN THE SOLIDARITY MEETING & Draw automatically waives the
right of the LGU to file protest and appeal.
APPEALS:
1. All participating LGUs may file an appeal with the Batang Pinoy Secretariat only on the
Tournament Director’s decision/s on the protests filed regarding game/match results and
officiating.
2. Petitioning LGUs shall submit an accomplished Appeal Form (downloadable at Batang

13.1The organizing committee and its appointed officials shall not be held
responsible for injuries or mishaps that may occur during the
competition or as a result of participation in the tournament.
15.PRIZES
a. Prizes shall be provided by the organizing committee in each event in a category as follows:
14.1.1 Champion - Gold Medal and Certificate

14.1.2 1 Runner-up - Silver Medal and Certificate
14.1.3 Two 2nd Runners-up - Bronze Medal and Certificate
All medalist are required to attend the awarding ceremony using his /her badminton prescribe
uniform and attire.
Technical Officials such as Referee/ Umpires will be invited by the NSA to officiate in the
games, provided that they are from Local Government Unit (LGU) This may be in the form of a
provincial, city or municipal representation.
17.OTHER MATTERS
In all other matters not covered by the preceding rules, the decision of
the organizing committee shall be final. All delegates must wear their Accreditation card /
pass at all times specially in the playing venue premises. All players and coaches are
required to attend the opening ceremony. It is recommended that coaches, players and
delegation must book their return ticket after the competition date.
Note:
Code of Conduct of Coaches, Players and Technical Officials shall be
implemented during the event. Falsification of documents, dishonesty will undergo for
disciplinary action to be reported to their respective LGU who endorsed them.
