Presentation On Thematic Apperception Test

This document provides an introduction and overview of the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) and Children's Apperception Test (CAT). TAT is a projective test developed after WWII using 31 picture cards to assess personality, emotions, and interpersonal relationships based on the stories told by subjects about the pictures. CAT is also a projective test developed in 1949 using picture cards to assess personality and psychological health in children. Both tests are administered by showing cards one by one and having subjects provide stories about each picture. Scoring involves analyzing themes in the stories. Criticisms of the tests include lack of standardized administration and interpretation.
