(1) Modes of acquisition of Application software.

o There are many different ways to acquire application software.


Some of the most common modes of acquisition include:

 Purchase: This is the most common mode of acquisition. The software is purchased from a
vendor and installed on the user's computer.
 Lease: This mode of acquisition allows the user to rent the software for a period of time. This is
often a good option for businesses that need to use the software for a limited period of time.
 Freeware: This software is available for free download from the internet. It is often ad-supported
or has limited functionality.
 Shareware: This software is available for free trial download from the internet. If the user
decides to keep the software, they must pay a registration fee.
 Open source software: This software is developed and distributed freely by a community of
users.

(2) Criteria for package Acceptability


When evaluating application software for acquisition, there are a number
of criteria that should be considered. Some of the most important criteria
include:

 Functional requirements: The software must meet the specific needs of the organization.
 Technical requirements: The software must be compatible with the organization's hardware
and software environment.
 Cost: The software must be affordable for the organization.
 Support: The vendor must provide adequate support for the software.
 Licensing terms: The licensing terms must be acceptable to the organization.

(3) Connecting my system


There are a number of different ways to connect my system to a network.
Some of the most common methods include:

 Ethernet: Ethernet is a wired networking technology that uses cables to connect devices. It is a
reliable and fast way to connect your system to a network.
 Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology that uses radio waves to connect devices. It is a
convenient and easy way to connect your system to a network.

 Bluetooth: Bluetooth is a wireless networking technology that uses short-range radio waves to
connect devices. It is a good option for connecting your system to other devices in close proximity.
 USB tethering: USB tethering allows you to connect your system to a network using a USB
cable. It is a good option for connecting your system to a network when there is no other option
available.
