Assume yourself in the capacity of manager of a multinational organization and suggest if the
under cases will be subjected to intellectual property theft/ copyright? Justify your answer for
each case.
Scenario 1:
Tom is a musician who shared his own song on a music-sharing website. Emily, another musician, heard
Tom's song and decided to cover it, crediting Tom for the original creation. Is this intellectual property
infringement?

Scenario 2:
David is a graphic designer who creates custom illustrations for a client's marketing materials. The client
pays for the design, but David later decides to use a slightly modified version of the illustration for his own
personal project. Is this intellectual property theft?
Scenario 3:
Sarah is a photographer who captures a stunning landscape photo and posts it on her social media profile.
A magazine publisher discovers the image and uses it without permission in their publication, but they
credit Sarah as the photographer. Is this intellectual property theft?

competitor purchases one of her pieces, disassembles it, and creates a similar design for their own jewelry
line. Is this intellectual property theft?
