Taekwondo. (one per tenet)
1. Perseverance
Scenario:
-Imagine a Taekwondo student named joshua who dreams of competing at the national level. Joshua
faces a setback when he sustains an ankle injury during training, making it difficult to perform kicks.
Undeterred, he attends physical therapy and follows a rehabilitation plan to recover. Despite the
challenges, he persists with his training regimen, modifying exercises to accommodate his injury.
Joshua maintains a positive mindset, reminding himself of his goal and the passion he has for
Taekwondo. With each day, he perseveres, gradually regaining strength and eventually returning to
full form, ready to pursue his dreams in the sport.
2. Integrity
Scenario:
-In a Taekwondo sparring match, a participant named kylla accidentally scores a point using an
illegal technique. Recognizing her mistake. Kylla voluntarily informs the referee and forfeits the
point, upholding the integrity of the sport. Kylla is dedication to fair play and honesty showcases her
commitment to maintaining the integrity of Taekwondo, earning her respect from fellow practitioners
and preserving the principles of the martial art.
3. Courtesy
Scenario:
-During a Taekwondo training session, a new student named aivhann joins the class. The senior
students and instructors greet aivhann with a warm smile and extend a hand to welcome him into the
community, embodying the courtesy aspect of Taekwondo. Throughout the session, students show
respect by bowing to each other.
4. Indomitable Spirit
Scenario:
-In a Taekwondo tournament, a practitioner named zach finds himself matched against a highly
skilled and formidable opponent. Despite being initially overwhelmed, zach displays his indomitable
spirit by refusing to give up or be discouraged. He channels his determination and resilience, pushing
through fatigue and setbacks, ultimately demonstrating unwavering perseverance and inspiring those
around him with his unwavering spirit.
5. Self Control
Scenario:
-During a heated Taekwondo sparring match, a practitioner named bela faces an opponent who
provokes her with aggressive taunting. Despite the temptation to respond impulsively, bela maintains
self-control by remaining calm and composed. She focuses on her technique, strategizes her moves,
and executes precise and controlled strikes, showcasing the application of self-control in Taekwondo.
