The document discusses websites, providing definitions and an overview. It explains that a website consists of three main elements: a domain name, website hosting, and web pages. It differentiates between static and dynamic websites, with dynamic websites being supported by a database and allowing for more user interactivity and content management. The history of websites is also reviewed from early static web 1.0 to now more advanced web 2.0 and the ongoing development of web 3.0 technologies.

CHAPTER II. OVERVIEW

1. Definition

Overview website

1.1 Website

The development of the technology industry means that the demand for using
computers and accessing the Internet to search for information and purchase
online is increasing. Therefore, owning a website will help businesses easily
promote, bring information, products and services of their business to
customers. Thanks to a website, businesses will reach a large number of
customers, helping them sell products to those customers. This helps businesses
increase sales and profits for themselves.

Through the browser, the end user will connect to the Webserver using the URL
address. Here, the Webserver will handle the connection and send the request to
the web application. Depending on the request, the web application will query
the database and get the results returned, and then send the response back to the
Webserver.
Finally, the Webserver will send the data to the browser in the form of hypertext
and the end user will receive the information displayed on the browser.
Convenient features of the web: Information is easy to update and change,
customers can view information immediately, at any place, save costs of
printing, postal, fax, information not limited (you can post as much information
as you want, no limit on the amount of information, images…) and unlimited
use area (accessible worldwide).

2. Introduction to the website

A website is a “website” hosted on servers or hosting services operating on the

Internet. This is a place to introduce information, images about businesses,
products and services of businesses or introduce any information so that
customers can access anytime, anywhere.

To create a website, there are 3 elements:

 Domain Names: In fact, a website without a domain name can still work
normally because it still has the IP address of that website, we just need to
enter the IP address of the web browser and the browser will load
immediately. website into your browser. Unfortunately, we need a domain
name instead of an IP because IP is a series of decimals, some IP addresses
are easy to remember but most IP addresses are hard to remember. With the
name it is very close to human natural language so it is easy to remember,
that's why people changed the domain name for IP and from there DNS
technology was born.
 Website hosting: Website hosting is required for us to have, it can be a
server to host or a hosting we rent from a service provider.

 Web page: The content of this information page must already be there for
our purpose of creating the website to post our information on the website or
introduce the company's information.

introduce the company's information.

Static website can be understood like this, the user sends a request for a
certain resource and the server returns that resource. Web pages are
nothing more than a formatted and distributed document. At the
beginning of website development, static web was used a lot because at
that time the demand for posting on the website was not as high as
posting information about events, addresses or work schedules via the
Internet only, there was no interaction through the Web.

Dynamic website is a term used to refer to websites that are supported by
a web-based software, in simple words, a dynamic web is a web with a
database. Today, most websites have databases for the purpose, the needs
of people are increasing day by day. In essence, a dynamic website means
a static website that is "coupled" with a web software (application
modules for the Web). With this software program, the website owner
really has the right to operate it, edit and update the information on his
website without having to rely on professionals.

Previously, from 1995 to 2004, when using web 1.0 technology with this
technology, only the website content could be read, but users could not
edit, comment or in other words, the website at any time only operated in
one direction, Stop.

Currently, web 2.0 technology has been developed that works two way
which means that users can also edit, comment on or delete website
content. On that development momentum, people continue to research
and develop web 3.0, promising a lot of interesting things ahead.
