A. Countable Noun
• Nouns that can be counted.
• For singular nouns, add ‘a’ or ‘an’ before the nouns.
o For example:
i) An apple.
ii) A burger.
• For plural nouns, add ‘s’, ‘es’ or ‘ies’ before the nouns.
o For example:
i) Three breads.
ii) Two mangoes.
iii) Four strawberries.
B. Uncountable Noun
• Nouns that can’t be counted.
• Don’t use ‘a’ or ‘an’ for uncountable nouns.
• Uncountable nouns are always singular (don’t add ‘s’, ‘es’ or ‘ies’).
o For example:
i) A lot of rice.
ii) Some water.
