PREFACE
This book is valid for the Operator Desk OM Commands for all iS3000 systems running System
SoftWare 805 (SSW 805) and Call@Net (SSW 810).

This manual is valid for all types of Operator Desks, but the representation of the display and keys
used in this book are based on those of the SuperVisor 25/35.
When using another device, refer to the relevant user guide for the keys to be used in OM mode.

1
1. INTRODUCTION

WHAT IS AN OM COMMAND

OM stands for Operational Maintenance. An OM command allows you to perform maintenance

functions on an operational system. To execute an OM command as described in this manual, you
can use the following operator consoles:

- a SUPERVISOR 20
- a SUPERVISOR 30
- a SUPERVISOR 50
- a SuperVisor 25
- a SuperVisor 35
- a SuperVisor 55

Keep in mind that the representation of the display and keys used in this book are based on those
of the SuperVisor 25/35. When using another device, refer to the relevant user guide for the keys
to be used in OM mode.
The use of OM commands includes :

- Specification and modification of project dependent data like Numbering Scheme (internal and
external) and Traffic Classes
- Assigning of facilities to extension users
- Reading of alarms and system status reports
- Changing of service conditions

An OM command consists of a procedure code of 4 digits and zero or more parameters.

KEY USAGE

The Administrative Mode (AM) key is used to start (and stop) an OM session.
The display will show :

1 1

The party A field of the display (PA) shows the key level (0 or 1) of the operator desk.
1 is the highest level (key on the back inserted).
With key level 1 more actions are allowed than with key level 0.

The party B field of the display (PB) shows the step number 1, meaning the system is ready to
accept an OM command.

The bottom line in the display shows :

SP OU LP EX

2
SP SPACE key
This key is used to separate commands from parameters or parameters
mutually.

OU OUT key
This key is used to correct input. It works in 2 ways:
- Pressing it after entering a digit results in deleting the last entered
digit(s). For example you want to enter 1234 but you enter 1233 by
mistake.
Press the OU key and enter 4.

- Pressing it after pressing the SP key results in going back an entire

step. For example you enter 1234 followed by the SP key and decide
that it should have been 5678.
Press the OU key immediately after the SP key and enter 5678.

LP LEAVE LOOP key

This key is used to enter a hyphen (-).

EX EXECUTE key
This key is used to execute the entered command.

1 2 3 The numeric keypad is used to enter the 4 digit command codes and
parameters.

3
REPRESENTATION OF COMMANDS

An OM command consists of a procedure code and parameters. Procedure codes and parameters
are represented as decimal numbers. In this manual the commands are represented (as a number
of four digits) as follows :

STEP KEY

1 3030 SP 3030 2

2 FACILITY CLASS MARK SP FCM 3

3 DNR (LP) DNR-

(BSPT) EX 1 1

Assume that you start in the AM mode.

The display shows :

1 1

1. To execute command 3030 press these keys on the keypad. The digits entered will appear in
the PB display. Press the SP key to confirm the 4 digit command code. The entered digits will
shift from the PB to the PA display and if the command code is valid the PB display will show
the next step number.

2. Now the first parameter, FACILITY CLASS MARK must be entered.

This represented as follows :

FCM

Fill in a number, representing the Facility Class Mark. The FCM will appear in the PB field.
After pressing the SP key, the entered FCM will shift from the PB to the PA field.
Again PB will show the next step number : in this case 3.

3. Enter the number representing the DNR (1 ... 6 digits).

The (LP) key is between ( ), meaning that pressing this key may be omitted.
If this key is omitted, also omit the BSPT parameter : therefor it is also between ( ).

4. Enter the number representing the DNR (1 ... 6 digits).

Press the EX key.
The display shows :

1 1

This means that the command is accepted and executed.

4
ERROR HANDLING

An error is indicated by a short beep and the following display :

3030 032 1

- 3030 : indicates the number of the procedure in which the error was made.
- 032 : represents the error message.

Use the OU key to remove the error message and re-try the command.

In the example above OM command 3030 “Display DNR - Line Circuit Relation” was used in
combination with an External Hardware Address that had no board assigned to it.
This causes the error message 032 “EHWA not in use”.

For more detailed information of all alarm codes consult the OM Commands Manual (MML).

ASSUMPTIONS

In the layout of OM commands in this book a number of assumptions are made.

It is assumed, that:

- The user is entitled to execute all the commands.

In other words no restriction levels for Facility Class Marks and Traffic Classes on the operator
desk (with key) are set. If restriction levels are set this will result in error message 041
“Restriction on Action”.

- The key at the back of the Operator Desk is inserted (key level 1).

- No invalid parameters are entered.

E.g. when the command 3030 “Assign Facility Class Mark“ is executed the entered DNR
should be an existing one and the Facility Class Mark should not be marked Read Only (RO).

- Display commands are only used when there is something to display.

E.g. when the command 3042 “Display Call Forwarding” is executed for a certain DNR it does
not result in error message 031 “No relations or data found” but displays an Originator DNR
and a Destination number.

- No commands are executed that require a password.

E.g. no attempt should be made to use the command 7012 “Set Circuit Condition to Out of
Service” on a board in the CM shelf. This will result in error message 111 “Higher degradation
level required”.

5
DISPLAY FORMAT

If data is displayed using OM commands the following layout is generated by the system:

06 1 99 999999

06 : is the step number of the display, indicating which parameter is displayed.

1 : is the sequence number within a step.
This is only incremented if the parameter to be displayed is longer than 8 digits,
for example a 12 NC would be displayed in 2 consecutive steps, 061 and 062.
99 999999 : is the parameter to be displayed (0 ... 8 digits) : 99999999 in this example.

In general : when more than 6 digits have to be displayed, the first digit(s) will appear in the right
hand side of the PA field.
- The SUPERVISOR 30, 50 and 55 show the PA and PB fields on the screen. The procedures
remain the same.
- The SUPERVISOR 20 displays a hyphen (-) as a “t”, while the other models display it as a “C”
or “-”, depending on the release.

WHAT IS A BSP-ID

A BSP-ID consists of a DNR part and an optional Basic Service Profile Type part, separated by a
hyphen ('-').
It is possible to assign more than one BSP to a DNR. In that case it is not allowed to omit the
BSPT part. In all other cases it is possible to omit the BSPT part. Then the system will use the
BSPT identified by the DNR.
Commonly used BSPT values are :
- 14 : means SOPHO speech.
- 20 ... 93 : user definable.
- 95 & 97 : voice.
- 98 : any (default).

For more information consult the OM Commands Manual (MML).

A special BSPT value is “All BSPT“ (99). When this value is entered in a data changing command,
then the required changes will be executed for every BSP-ID with the given DNR. When entered in
a display command, the required relations are displayed for every BSP-ID with the given DNR.

When the system option BSPT-IN-BSP-ID-NOT-ALLOWED-IN-OPERATORS is set, then the BSP-

ID must be omitted. The LP key will be blocked (producing a beep).

When MSN type is 2, use command 3008 to determine which MSN digit will actually be send onto
the S0 -bus or which digit should be received from the S0-bus.

- Change Password

If Traffic class up-/downgrading or Password DDO (or both) is assigned, the Change Password
facility is assigned implicitly.
When a facility is assigned to a DNR for the first time, the associated password is set to the default
value (all zeros).
An extension user has to change this default password to a 'real' password before it can be used.
If the facility indicator is omitted, the password is reset to all zeros for that DNR.

6 (DEST/NUMBER) (SP) DEST/NBR 7

7 (NUMBER-LENGTH) EX 1 1

This command is used to assign a prefix.

In this command the parameters DEST/NUMBER and NUMBER-LENGTH must be omitted.
Exceptions to this rule are :

- If RESULT-ID = 49 :
DEST/NUMBER must be given. Fill in the A-queue number (1 ... 16).

- If RESULT-ID = 14, 21, 91, 92, 138 and 147 :

DEST/NUMBER must be the destination number.

- If RESULT-ID = 12, 13, 120 ... 125, 139 ... 142 :

DEST/NUMBER must be the paging route number.

- If RESULT-ID = 20, 25, 43, 68 ... 74, 82, 105 ... 115, 118, 119, 127, 135 and 136 :
NUMBER-LENGTH must be given and DEST/NUMBER must be empty.

Note : The NUMBER-LENGTH in RESULT-ID 111 is used to validate the dialled cost centre
code. The last digit of the cost centre code must be equal to the sum of the other digits MOD
length. For example if the length is 6 then 1 2 3 4 5 3 is a valid cost centre code.
1+2+3+4+5=15. 15 MOD 6 =3 (remainder after division).
Last digit is also 3, therefore it is a valid cost centre code.

- If the RESULT-ID is 50, 51, 143 and 144 and the DEST/NUMBER is empty or '0', PID
validation (SSM) is used. If the DEST/NUMBER = 1 then password (IPD) validation is used.
The NR-LENGTH (0 ... 16) is the length of the PID or password and NUMBER means 'prefix'.

- If RESULT-ID = 82 :
The number of characters in NUMBER must be compatible with the TMS digit position.

- If RESULT-ID = 104 :
NUMBER-LENGTH (0 ... 16) indicates length of password;
DEST/NUMBER is 0 means ‘change password of current DNR' and 1 means ‘change
password of any other DNR'.

58
- If RESULT-ID = 132 and 133 :
Enter the unit number for DEST/NUMBER. NUMBER-LENGTH must be empty in the case of
132. In the case of 133, NUMBER-LENGTH must be PVN mode.

- RESULT-IDs 10, 22, 23, 24 and 145 are not allowed.

PARAMETERS
TREE : Number of the analysis tree 0 ... 254
NUMBER : Digit string indicating the prefix 1 ... 6 digits
DEST/NUMBER : Number of the destination 0 ... 254
Can also be a paging route 0 ... 254
In case of PVN this can also be a unit number 1 ... 14
TRFC : Traffic Class 0 ... 7
NUMBER-LENGTH : Length of the numbers 1 ... 6 digits
