GROUP ACTIVITY

Give an example of a good practice in the classroom to support the principles given
below. (5 points each)

1. Supportive Learning Environment

- working together with the students and act as a facilitator to help them
generate many viewpoints.
2. Opportunity to Learn
- measuring and reporting where student and teacher have access to the
different ingredients that make up quality schools. Teachers can use
practical activities that encourage students to explore new ideas and apply
them in authentic situations. This empowers students to make their own
choices about how they use their new knowledge, skills, and
understanding. It also makes the learning more relevant and interesting.
3. Connection and Challenge
- Having a connection with the teacher towards the students builds a strong
relationship in the classroom and motivates the students to participate in
the learning process inside the classroom. Students learn that they can
work toward a goal, overcome challenges, and persevere even when
something is challenging by engaging in an appropriate amount of
challenge.
4. Action and Reflection
- Reflective practice develops your ability to understand how your students
learn and the best ways to teach them. By reflecting students can evaluate
their learning development and can assess their performance for
improvement.
5. Motivation and Purpose
- Motivation builds determination to achieve something and purpose is a
connection to a goal that you want to achieve. Hence, motivation and
purpose is the way to achieve and pursue our goals in life.
6. Inclusivity and Difference
- treating all students fairly and equally despite of their differences. For
example, using an effective teaching strategy that allows all the learners to
better understand their lesson to ensure that no one will be left behind.
7. Independence and Collaboration
- In a multigrade classroom, the teacher serves as the head of the class
and must maintain control in order to provide a positive learning
environment for the students. However, as a teacher, you can also share
your responsibility for facilitating learning with pupils, parents, and other
members of the community.
