What is school? School is a place where we seek knowledge or where we learn. In addition, School is the first book to examine this institutional building’s modern growth on a global scale (Burke and Grosvenor). In school, Not only will learn subjects but we will learn new skills, including social skills. Talking about school, There are some rules that students need to obey. What is rule? Rule make students more respect to teacher and rules must be followed. Rules is instruction that states the way things are or should be done and tells you what you are allowed or not allowed to do (Dictionary Of Cambridge). Moreover, There are some rules that students must follow such as come to school on time, respect the teacher, submit your assignment on time and etc. One of the basic rules is wearing a uniform. What is uniform? Uniforms are clothes that must be used so that people can know the identity of the school. In addition, A school uniform is a standard set of clothes that students wear when they go to school. School uniforms promote school spirit and make students feel they all belong together. It helps generate a sense of pride and motivates students to function as a team. What is the advantages of wearing school uniform? Can make students have no trouble choosing clothes for school because it helps them in saving a lot of time as they do not have to select different to wear to school everyday. Reduce the potential for bullying, makes students more discipline because when no fashion accessories and fancy clothes are allowed in the school, students are less likely to break disciplinary rules. Improve their concentration and focus. By wearing a uniform can removes the distraction from the students and they are able to concentrate more on studies and it also increase self confidence because it helps in having a higher opinion about themselves. What is the disadvantages of wearing school uniform? Some students doesn’t like to wear uniform because they feel uncomfortable. Wearing the same uniform day in and day out can be tedious and boring because the students wear the uniform everyday. Some parents couldn't buy uniforms because they were too expensive. They can cause additional stress to parents because if they can’t afford several sets of uniform, they may have to wash the uniform when the kids get home. Uniforms may increase outside bullying, While students of a particular school who take pride in their school and their uniform may become an object of bully for the kids from other schools who don’t have a uniform. In my opinion, school should not require students to wear uniform because students may feel uncomfortable when wearing a uniform. Students do not have the freedom to wear normal clothes, because some schools require students to wear uniform. Some parents also can’t buy uniform because they were to expensive.
