LESSON PLAN ENGLISH (GRADE 10) |. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to: a. differentiate the three models of communication; b. explain the process of communication: ¢. recognize the importance of the models in understanding the communication process as applied in day-to-day life. Il, SUBJECT MATTER A. Topic: The Three Models of Communication (Oral Communication) B. Reference: Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Internet C. Materials: Visual Aids Ill. PROCEDURE Teacher's Activity Students’ Activity Good afternoon class! Please stand for the prayer. Let us first direct our hearts in the presence of our Almighty Father. Before | proceed, | would like to assess or check your knowledge about your basic understanding of Communication What is Communication? On that note, the new lesson we will discuss is the Models of Communication. Good afternoon Ma'am! (Stand for the prayer) Amen. (The learners answer the question) Lesson Proper: Communication is the sending and receiving of messages to create shared meaning. Now, let's talk about the first Model of Communication. Linear Model is a one-way process where a sender transmits a message to a (Give other examples) receiver without feedback Example: giving mechanics, radio broadcasting, speeches Interactive Model is a circular/two-way process where the sender and receiver exchange messages. Example: chatting with your friend on Instagram, quizzes, role-play Transactional Model is a way of understanding how people exchange messages in an ongoing and dynamic process. Involves two or more communicators. Example: brainstorming sessions, business meetings, Q&A sessions Generalization: Therefore, what model of communication if there is no response? How about if there is feedback from the receiver? What model if it is dynamic and continuous? I'm glad that you understand our topic today! Evaluation: A.
