1. Purpose of ARC:
Improving drawing skills and understanding ability of the Students.

2. Objective of ARC:
 Acquire an understanding of the scientific focus of Biology and will note its
relationship with other branches of science.
 Clarify the terms, concepts and processes of cell biology, Developmental Biology,
physiology and Environmental Biology, Genetics and Evolution.
 Note the recent trends in the content and curriculum of Biology in India and other
countries and realize its significance as teachers.
 Develop the skill of writing instructional objectives in terms of observable
behaviours, analyze the content pedagogically and prepare lesson plans in
transactional terms.
 Learn the methods and approaches to teaching Biology and apply the same to
teaching at the secondary school level.
 Use advanced and creative techniques, learning aids and improvised apparatus in their
Biology lessons in secondary schools.

3. Description on Proposed Research:


Action research methodology is used. Pretest is conducted to diagnose problems of the
students. Remedial measures are given then posttest is conducted.

4. Expected Outcome:
Improving drawing skills and understanding ability of the Students.
