Mathematics 4 – Visualizing numbers up to 100 000

I. Introduction

The key concepts in visualizing numbers by presenting how


to group by numbers/items by ten, hundreds, thousands and ten
thousands. Multiple examples are presented in this lesson. A
presentation on why counting is essential is likewise included.
This Learning Activity Sheets will serve as your guide in
mastering the most essential learning competencies and be
technologically, environmentally, and scientifically literate. The
activities prepared will give you opportunity for independent
practice and learning.

II. Learning Competency


This Learning Activity Sheets was designed and written with
you in mind. It is here to help you master the skills in visualizing
numbers up to 100 000 with emphasis on numbers 10 001 – 100
000 (M4NS-la-1.4).

III.Objectives

After going through this Learning Activity Sheets, you are


expected to be able to:
1. visualize numbers up to 100 000 with emphasis on numbers
10 001-100 000;

2. draw numbers up to 100 000 with emphasis on numbers 10
001-100 000;
3. represent numbers up to 100 000 with emphasis on numbers
10 001-100 000.

this amount using number discs.

VI.Assessment

A. Read and answer the following items.

1. There were 39 269 children and adults who watched the


basketball game. Draw number discs to show
the given number.

2. There are 72 658 tree seedlings distributed to the barangays by


the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Draw
number disc to show the given number.

3. A group of farmers donated a total of 45 315 kilograms of rice


to the flood victims. Draw number discs to show
the given number.

4. How will you show the number 70 251 using number discs?

5. Teodoro used 8 pieces of 10 000s discs, 8 pieces of 1 000s, 9


pieces of 100s discs, 2 pieces of 10s discs and 6 pieces of 1s
discs to represent a number. What number is shown by his
number discs?
