Chapter-2
Literature review

An administration information machine is used for both public and personal organizations. A
Strategic management facts system (SMIS) is a machine that aids managers in making selections
to address problems that exist in both public and private organizations. By using SMIS,
executives may also make wise decisions in terms of being capable of restoring current troubles
whilst stopping the improvement of new troubles that can jeopardize an organization's life. The
presence of computer applied sciences has made a predominant recommended contribution to the
management facts system, and SMIS is also very necessary for representatives of a company or
organization to make accountable choices (Meiryani & RA Aryanti Wardaya Puspokusumo,
2020; Oudat & Ali, 2021; Oudat et al., 2021). In evaluation to prior recognition, modern-day
organizations face excellent big risks as a result of globalization due to altering technological
growth. Managing these threats was now not a top priority for economic firms. As a result, many
companies see monetary dangers as a most important challenge. According to a recent Ampofo
(2020) paper, the study analyzed the record retaining process in order to elucidate the strategic
MIS troubles at the UDS-Wa Campus. A vacuum remains to be stuffed due to a lack of literature
in this field. The learn about is qualitative in nature, and forty (40) respondents had been chosen
by means of a purposive sampling process. The faculty consisted of six (6) administrative team
of workers members, fourteen (14) senior and junior lecturers, and twenty (20) pupil delegates.
According to the findings of the report, administrators, lecturers, and college students were
unable to operate ordinary reviews of the Management Information System through the usage of
the correct identification numbers and passwords. Furthermore, the find out observed that the
domestic page and archive of UDS's Management Information System (Wa campus) have been
still highly slow and compromised. Furthermore, the find out that UDS (Wa-campus) does not
have a student management records system manager and instead depends on the supervisor at
central administration in Tamale. Furthermore, they discovered that the Management
Information System at UDS (Wa campus) is managed with the aid of much less professionals
than at other public universities in the country. According to the report, UDS (Wa campus)
management can hire data and verbal exchange science professionals with expertise in
administration facts systems (MIS) and laptop engineering to ensure that the management facts
device at UDS (Wa campus) works properly. Alshamsi et al. (2019) confused the magnitude of
appreciation of the concepts of (IS), (IT), and strategic administration data gadget (SMIS), as
properly as the want for SMIS, implementation problems related with SMIS, and comparable
models. As a result, this article gives a comprehensive framework for evaluating the success and
troubles of the Ministry of Interior's strategic management records system. Without a question,
as a result of the advancement of digital technology, corporations depend heavily on facts
systems these days. While public corporations have to adhere to policy in order to attain

their objectives, in the long run, they face a slew of challenges that jeopardize mission
accomplishment or the implementation of successful plans to gain the mission. The UAE is now
making strides toward Vision 2021. Implementing strategic expertise processing is critical to
achieving these goals. According to the report, incorporating a strategic planning gadget does not

critical to evaluate the strategic planning process and its relationship to other management tactics
inside a company. Via the use of secondary statistics sources, this paper analyzes current
literature and gives a specified understanding of concepts, mechanisms, and models. The
predicted outcomes of the find out would want professionals, academia, researchers, government
departments, and regulators.

Almalki et al. (2017) described the challenges of applying an Information System Strategy in a
Saudi-based market environment in ordinary and in a bank in particular. This lookup examines
the types of problems that can occur in a bank, the use of a case learned about and a survey to
illustrate these difficulties. The survey findings are then analyzed and discussed in the report. It
makes quite a few hints based totally on the comments that might also help in solving these
difficulties. The outcomes definitely point out that administration problems between IT and
enterprise ought to be eliminated if there was once an ideal hyperlink between IT and business.
According to Babaei & Beikzad (2013), contemporary the increase of IT and its most important

world fashion to use a number of varieties of data systems, inclusive of Management Information
System (MIS), has led Iran to follow suit. This trend was confronted with successes, setbacks,
