There are many ways to do it. I have entire folders in my Archive but not one
for Projects, Resources, Areas.

The complexity comes from the multiple tools (cloud, drive, evernote etc.)
PARA will actually create a connection between locations even if they arent'
synced. If you want to simplify it is important to curate the tools not the
structure within the tools.

Once Project and Area folder is created, we would most likey pull archived
file into P or A or R folder later..
You can divide archive into “inactive projects” “inactive areas” “inactive
resources” but you don’t have to.

This is a good question. I don’t have a universal answer for you. For me, I
have an archive for my email, for my file folders for disk files, for my cloud
files, etc.
To say it another way: my archives don’t “talk” to one another. But each
individual ‘space’ is relatively organized in PARA, and I have a sense where each
Archive goes, and generally what is in them.

“Thoughts” it allows me to journal my current experience of working on the project

I don’t use OKRs but have worked with some OKR zealots; my sense its that OKR
framework works best under individual Projects.
In fact, many of use ‘personal’ templates for our own projects that establish
milestones, deadlines, goals, etc…
For a project, a bring all my notes from resources into the active project
folder (or a link to them). I like to have everything in one place for a project.
THEN, at the end when project completed, I sort my project notes - some back to
rescouces, some to archive, some binned

I use GTD for this. I have a "projects list" that is for very long things.
Then my PARA projects are the "next thing I need to do" for this big project. Tiago
did something like this in his Projects video. He had "write book" and then he said
that was too big and changed it to "get an agent". But he didn't have the big
project listed anywhere. I think this is where the "big projects list" from GTD is
helpful.

Advice for anyone doing this course for the first time:This is my 8th cohort
and have used PARA at home and at work. It is a great system. There are two groups
of people at this cohort - newbies and those who have done it before. Those who
have done it before will talk about all sorts of tweaks and variations etc. It can
be confusing. If you are a newbie, ignore what the others (including me!) might
say. Stick to vanilla PARA this time. Play with the system after you have the
basics. Don't overthink it too much :)

Yes, sure. There is the tasks plugin. You can easily create tasks in any note
including recurring tasks, due dates, etc.
And then I use tags on the tasks and you can use data view to show the tasks
in many different ways.
One thing I really love about it is that you can show the same tasks in many

I set up a shortcut automation that makes a daily note by pulling items from
my calendar and any items due on that date. That helps me focus and gives me a
daily inbox that I can divvy up later

GTD helps me manage emails and calendar. PARA is outstanding way to organize
files and emails that I save. BASB is great methodology to organize research,
notes, etc. PARA is universal way to organize both GTD and BASB

And Milanote seems like a good visual PARA tool. I also happen to be more of
a visual person and these are two tools I am experimenting with currently. Would
love to know how your experience is with them if and when you happen to try them 🙂
