STATEMENT
Also, the anchors are installed and tested in rock mass to get data for their
design as related to their yield, load, ultimate capacity ,The pull-out test is
done until the anchor or the rock fails. The results from the pull test are
used to assess working load and ultimate load capacity (ASTM E488-18)
Anchor Bolts
Fischer Bolt anchor FAZ II 12/50 are used with international approval guarantee
Maximum Safety and best performance which is having a drill hole diameter of
12 mm and anchor length of 150 mm
The optimized expansion clip allows for a high load bearing capacity
The bolt geometry allows for optimal load distribution and enables to use close
edges and in thin components.
The drive-in pin protects the thread from damage and ensures a trouble-free
dismantling of the fixture
The number of anchor bolts needed is depends upon the project specification /
recommended by the climber supervisor to ensure the safety and effective scaling
to be done.
PULL OUT TESTING
Pullout test is done by accredited third party laboratory by NEOM approved
technician
From the installed anchor bolts, normally 2-3% of the total points are
recommended to be tested. The point at which the test is to be carried out is
decided by the consultant.
The anchors should be pretested (Proof Testing) to verify all design assumptions,
including anchor length. Test anchors should be proof stressed to 80% of the (0.2
% strain) ultimate strength of the anchor.
Ultimate strength of the anchor is the strength at which anchor material fails in
tensile test. before installation for a proof load of 1.33 to 1.5 times the working
load. (The working load is = yield load of the anchor / factor of safety: factor of
safety is usually multiple times or as suggested by designer)
