Environmental Pollution
People have always polluted their surroundings. But until now pollution was not such a
serious problem. In past most people lived in uncrowded rural areas and didn’t have pollution-
causing machines. But with the development of crowded industrial cities the problem of pollution
has become more important. Using cars and other machines made pollution steadily worse.
The emission of smokes from factories and automobiles, are big causes of air pollution which
produce acid rain, smog and a hole in the ozone layer. Cars are polluting the air but they provide
fast transportation for the people.
Water is also suffering from pollution because of the millions of tons of litter being thrown
into the seas every year. Polluted water kills fish and other marine life.
Pollution is also caused by the fertilizers and pesticides used by farmers for the soil but they
are important for growing crops fruits and vegetables even if they pollute soil. On polluted soil,
food products can’t be grown. In addition environmental pollution spoils the natural beauty of our
planet
Thus, people would have to stop using many useful things if they wanted to end pollution
immediately. It is up to us to stop damaging the environment. We all should act green and fight the
pollution by using the 3 R’s, Reduce, Reuse, and recycle
