1. INTRODUCTION
Medication is an essential building block of a health system. “without them, it is impossible
to achieve desirable health outcomes for individual patients and communities.” However, to
keep pharmacy operations on track, staff need a bit of extra assistance. The concept of
pharmacy application is relatively new. To make such a application system, you have to
create customized software.

Creation of an e-med application will increase the core value of the medicine industry to the
next generation. Where any pharmacy can provide medicine to patients in needs. And will
solve the supply chain issues (shortage of proper medication in the market) while creating an
ease to the way of conducting business.

This can be done by creating and implementing the wanted and necessary application with
the latest updated tools and platforms where this will be the new era of the medicine industry

This application provides upfront pricing, delivery tracking and verified medication by EFDA
(Ethiopian Food and Drug Administration) from any pharmacy where the use of innovative
technology, provides a fast, reliable and effective solution to users’ pharmaceutical quality
and needs.

The application will be an easier way of reaching consumers, and an efficient and effective
way of handling in needed patients. In which it will cut your costs and improve your
customers’ experience with a fully integrated retail and dispensing software rich with
pharmacy-specific functionalities. Manage various type of prescriptions, handle drugs
effectively and let the system take care of price calculations

2.1 OBJECTIVES
The general objective of the project proposal is to deploy the first and the only system
application developed locally on your organization and to design a user based and full
efficient application with user friendly feature.

The specific objective is to change the existing manual system into an online based
application.

4. PROJECT SCOPE AND MANAGEMENT

The scope of the project will be limited to the country of Ethiopia.

Where only the application will reliable and functional to the specific country.
The following are the activities to be carried out within the stated scope work of the system.

Deploying an official pharmaceutical application for Ethiopia.

Other providers of software shall not be used nor would the application be
integrated with other existing packages.
Provision of hardware equipment’s and facilities are not within the scope of
work.
The application shall be created, tested and verified that all requirements are
met and all functionality work as described. But shall be handled over to the
client for deployment and maintainability.
All scope being specified in the requirements analysis and specification
document with respect to the client’s goal would be achieved. Scope control
shall be initiated during this project to control the scope work of the project. If
for any reasons due to risk, time, or resources (humans) constraints the scope
of the project has not been completed, it shall be rolled over to the next
software release for the system.

Reliability: - the system is a real-time application which allows users to access
anywhere and anytime.
Usability: - The system has well-crafted user interfaces, straight-to-the-point task
flows with good error messages.
The proposed system will minimize crash during its runtime since more than one user
could use the system simultaneously
Efficiency: To ensure the efficiency of the system we minimize large size data or
resources i.e., image, video on the system.

medicines. The increase in transactions will call for a more comprehensive look at the
