DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MUSIC 3

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
a. Define what is Ostinato pattern
b. Appreciate the importance of ostinato pattern
c. Play simple ostinato patterns with classroom instruments and other sound sources.

1. Preliminary
a. Greeting Good morning ma'am, Good morning classmates.
Good morning class.
b. Prayer Our Father...
Let us all stand for our prayer.
c. Checking of attendance
Everyone, please take a seat and raise Okay ma'am.
your hand as I call your name.
2. Lesson Proper
a. MOTIVATION
Before we proceed to our new topic, let us
sing first. Are you familiar with the song No ma'am
"see-saw"?

Okay, I will play a music video of see-saw (The Pupil's will listen)
so listen because after these you will start
to sing.

(Show music video)


(The Pupil's start singing)
So kids, while singing you will do
clapping/tapping.

b. PRESENTATION The song is repeatedly.


Okay class, so while singing what do you
about the song? We do clapping and tapping.

Okay, very good? Aside from singing


repeatedly, what else ? None ma'am.

Very good! So, you have an idea about


what will be our today?

c. DISCUSSION
Ostinato- is a repeated rhythmic pattern
used to accompany a song. It can be play
using percussion instruments like tambol,
wooden blocks, castanets, triangles and Yes ma'am.
rhythm sticks.

d. APPLICATION Direction: Perform "Mga Alaga Kong hayop".


Now that you already understand our
lesson. I will divide you into 3 group. First, Group 1: Sing "Mga Alaga Kong Hayop"
go to your respective group and avoid Group 2: Used rhythmic instruments or any sound
