SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES

4.1. Description of first aid measures


Inhalation
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Keep the affected person warm and at rest. Get prompt medical attention.

Ingestion
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Rinse mouth thoroughly. Drink a few glasses of water or milk. Get medical attention
immediately!
Skin contact
Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Get medical attention promptly if symptoms occur after washing.

Eye contact
Promptly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eye lids. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse.

4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
General information
The severity of the symptoms described will vary dependant of the concentration and the length of exposure.
Inhalation.
Irritation of nose, throat and airway. Coughing, chest tightness, feeling of chest pressure.
Ingestion
May cause stomach pain or vomiting. May cause chemical burns in mouth and throat.
Skin contact
Burning pain and severe corrosive skin damage. May cause serious chemical burns to the skin.

Eye contact
Extreme irritation of eyes and mucous membranes, including burning and tearing. Corneal damage.

Treat Symptomatically.

Extinguishing media
This product is not flammable. Use fire-extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding materials.

Small quantities may be flushed to drains with plenty of water. Large Spillages: Absorb with sand or other inert absorbent.
Collect spillage in containers, seal securely and deliver for disposal according to local regulations.

Discharge used solutions to drain. Small amounts (less than 5 Litres) of unwanted product may be flushed with water to sewer.
Larger volumes must be sent for disposal as special waste. Rinse out empty container with water and consign to normal
waste.
