TECHNOLOGY AND LIVELIHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM

Philosophy:
The Technology and Livelihood Education is founded on the philosophy that equipping
learners with technological skills and promoting entrepreneurship leads to sustainable
livelihoods, economic empowerment, and societal development. This aims to bridge the gap
between technological advancements and the workforce, fostering innovation, creativity, and
self-reliance.

Rationale:
TLE recognizes the rapid pace of technological advancements and the need for
individuals to adapt to changing job markets. By offering relevant and practical training, this
TLE program empowers learners to acquire marketable skills and create their own opportunities.
Which let learners strive to enhance socio-economic conditions, reduce unemployment, and
cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Objectives:

 Equip learners with technical skills necessary for emerging industries and job markets.
 Foster an entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging learners to identify and create business
opportunities.
 Promote creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking in technological applications.
 Enhance the learners' ability to adapt to technological advancements and industry
demands.
 Facilitate the development of sustainable livelihoods to help reduce unemployment rates.
 Encourage community engagement and collaboration for collective growth.

Strategies:
a) Curriculum Development:
 Design a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses technical skills, entrepreneurship,
and innovation.
 Incorporate theoretical knowledge, practical training, and hands-on experience to provide
a holistic learning approach.
 Collaborate with industry experts and practitioners to ensure the curriculum aligns with
market demands.
b) Skills Training and Workshops:

 Conduct training sessions and workshops focused on relevant technologies, such as


coding, data analysis, digital marketing, 3D printing, robotics, etc.
 Provide mentorship and guidance for learners to develop their own technological projects
or business ventures.
 Organize seminars and guest lectures by industry professionals to expose learners to real-
world challenges and opportunities.

c) Resources and Infrastructure:

 Establish well-equipped training centers with access to the latest technology and
tools.
 Provide relevant software, hardware, tools and learning resources for hands-on
training.
 Establish partnerships with local industries, allowing students to gain practical
experience through internships or apprenticeships.

d) Entrepreneurial Support:
 Facilitate access to opportunities and networking events to connect learners with potential
mentors.
 Encourage learners to collaborate and form business networks within the program,
fostering a supportive ecosystem.

Resources:
 Skilled trainers and educators with expertise in relevant technologies and
entrepreneurship.
 Partnerships with local industries, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
 Adequate funding to establish and maintain training centers, procure equipment, and
provide resources.
 Online platforms and resources for remote learning and virtual collaboration.
 Networking events, job fairs, and industry expos to connect learners with opportunities to
learn.

Evaluation:
 Continuous assessment of learners' progress and skill development through practical
tests, assignments, and performance task(projects).
 Surveys and feedback mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum,
trainers, and overall program.
 Tracking learners' performance task outputs.
 Periodic program reviews and improvements based on evaluation results.

The Technology and Livelihood Education Program aims to empower learners by equipping
