右手边是关键渠道、关键关系和关键客户.
1. my degree is innovation in management,is MSC Innovation and Enterpreneurship.
or it's not innovation and management
2. This is research project. Okay. Totally different from PMA.
3. What is the degree requirements for the innovation and entrepreneurship project?
4.It should involve the analysis of options, comparative evaluation, a business model design.
That's what it requires.
5. for instance, supply chain and logistics say their project should relate to a logistics related topic
if you're in supply chain yet, so that could cover purchasing, outsourcing material inventory, etc,
etc. That's what you should do for supply chain for yours. It says the project should relate to the
exploitation of a business opportunity. So you need to demonstrate clearly that there is a
business opportunity. Okay. So what is the business opportunity?
6. Have you got an innovation gap shown to me?
that's exactly what the background is to do assess the situation. So given all that, what's
the technological bit that fits inside this? Because you want to focus on technology, and
how technology will address it. So at some point in building your argument, what you're
saying is the problem was the gap.
、
7. to have all the data you should have done the data systematically and being able to show it
8. what advancement are we talking about? What's the nature of that advancement? What's the
nature of the advancements in contemporary information technology?
9. quantify if you're going to do a business plan, business plan without basically what your needs
are not listed. I think that's what's what's what it is making it clear and you need to do it at this
stage, because you're beginning to structure your project really, okay.
10. There's two key statistics one of them you've highlighted the number of people in China 60
and over is roughly about 20%. . The other key figure that's going to get China is that the
population of China is dropping
11. Those two statistics are the key to therefore explaining why China needs to consider the
impact of ageing. Yeah, is how they cope with it. So the next question is, what percentage of
people live in cities and in rural areas?
Then so we know the population. We know how it's changing. We need to look at the
demographics, right? How many big cities are there in China? What's the percentage of
big cities with populations or I don't know, over 10 million 20 million. How many big cities
are there? And therefore, what's the size of this problem? How big is it? Yep.
Yeah, just to describe the situation.
12. . A desist dissertation submitted and for fulfilment of the requirements for the award for
Masters shall constitute an ordered critical and reasoned exposition of knowledge in an approved
field, and shall afford evidence of knowledge of the relevant literature and be submitted in
accordance with the appropriate course regulation
13. you need to address these have a clear logic in develop the logic that's what you got to do in
this dissertation. envelop the thinking processes. That's the process we're trying to get you guys
to do.
14. We need to know we need references of where we got our data, and we needed triangulated.
So it's not one per one source. You checked with a couple of independent sources to confirm.
15. What is your key research about?
16. a lot of people struggle with this, but keep it short, and keep it focused and that helps
you really get to help you understand what you really want to look at. Okay. So we've
looked at the big picture we've looked at the possible justification in terms of where is this
How big is it? What are the issues? What's the next thing you got to look at in your
background?
what is the nature of the service required? Yes, people need so if I live in the countryside,
what do I need? If I live with the city, what would I need? How good is the broadband in
the rural areas of China? Technology how good is the rural broadband in China?
.17. What is the issue with living in the city then?
I think you need maybe, well, how would you? How would you approach this? Because
you're gonna say at some time, I'm not looking at this market. This is my Market area.
Yes. Yeah. And therefore this is where my project is meant to go. So you're segmenting
the market? And identifying a specific market to which your value proposition will apply
18. Have needed they need an intelligent telephone system? Otherwise your system will
not work? Yes, yes. Yes. They need to be able to use a smartphone. Otherwise it won't
work.
the only people in China over 60 are computer literate.
what percentage do you reckon?
18. The National Bureau of Statistics of China dated the 18th of October 2020. What
percentage of the population over 60 are able to handle a computer?
. In fact the figure is 2 5 million.
Right so what percentage of your data is that? If you reckon that the population of China
and I go back to your research topic, number of people 60 and older in China is 264
million what percentage is 25 billion of that
Yes, your fingers right there, man. 10% Okay. If 10% is your market, what percentage of
that market is rural?
19. needs to be logical needs to have the need to show how you're building your
arguments. Let's carry on. So, what therefore? You didn't say research question research
on the design. So, your your, what are you really saying what's the I understand what
you're trying to get? But you're not explaining it. So what are you trying to say here at the
end of that? What's the what's the conclusion you're making?
. I think your action plan should relate back to the objectives so it's logical that you can
see the flow through
20. defining the market, because it will tell you how big of a market it is. Yes. Yeah. We
need to relate the objectives back to the question. Why are you looking at the market?
Because that will identify what are what is the need for growing elderly population? In
terms of what is the size growing issue Yeah, it's major requirement. Yes. Are you happy
with that? Yeah. What's the next bit then?
The currency eldercare into transitional care service and the plan from the deed and and
the shortage
of trains that one before it, investigate existing challenges and gaps are put down as
review and define the needs that can be addressed by a platform, how will the service
work and what technology will be required? Okay, you think about it and you come back
with your with what you think is your research objectives? Yes. The second one is review
and define the market in terms of what is the growing population, its nature and
requirements. Yeah. Yeah. So what what are the models you can use for this? What are
the models? What's the marketing? How does? How do we assess a market
21. How does work currently in China? Yeah, what's the current traditional elderly care
approach? In China?
to search online, that you're going to need something more than that. How would you go
to find out you hit on a very key thing there. How are we going to find out your research
questions, your research methods, help you find out what your research methods are
about where you get your research methods from your literature review
because your literature review is about what it's about addressing the objectives to get
that,
22. you have four key objectives not five, four key objectives. Key to this. I generally don't
like more than four key objectives. Okay. And we have a single research question. Your
question is what smart elderly care platform is needed. To address the needs of the
growing elderly population in China. If that is the question, how would you answer that? In
the topic which is in project definition, my degree a the title of this dissertation is right.
How is that then why and how does that title research questions? Address the
requirements of the degree? Yes. You get that? Yeah, yeah. Plain how your project meets
the requirements, definitions of your degree. So you we've got to the research question.
It'd be maybe a nice further work. We have a research question, to take it back into
project definition, and you answer it again.
23. smart elderly care platform is needed to address the needs of a growing elderly
population
just a suggestion for me. To address that question, you need your research objective to
be review and define the needs that need to be addressed by the platform. Yes. So what
is this platform have to do? Because you have to say the current traditional elderly care is
going to be replaced by a new one. Okay. Yep. Yeah. Yep. So how do you then
demonstrate that you've actually done it in your project? You'd have to develop from that.
A series maybe of questions and have case studies, which show how this technology will
be required. A body asking the question, this is your project the mind your project. Okay,
have you and then the next bit is reviewed. So what's the market? What's the market
opportunity? We immediately know from what will be done the quick research we've done
today. It's not 250 million. It's maybe 25 million, even even less than that. Okay, but if it's
less than that, those people will be there 1 million or 2 million. There are a lot of people.
Yes, spread over China. It's a massive area. How do you address it?
how does leave the lean business model help you address it? Which is the next bit?
What are the models that will help you address this? What are the business techniques
and models that can be used to define an elderly care plan? Okay, because if you're if
you're going to use the business canvas, what would it have on the right hand side of the
business canvas?
because remember, you are your your your point is your research question is what smart
elderly care platform is needed. So cu what is of the right hand side of your business
canvas. How does the right hand side of the business canvas work?
And then the other question is what's on the left?
But getting the two bottom bits at the bottom, revenue and costs for getting those for the
minute. What are those two? Two topics and in the middle? What is your value
proposition? Okay, okay. I will go ahead. Maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I will
send the draft okay to take a look
because when you say I want to build a catalogue from who you providing, who you
selling to, because I don't think you really, let's take what's an equivalent to this. What's
the what's an equivalent model to this that you've got in your head?
, a case study which you could use Okay, which which, for what are the business
techniques and models that can be used to define an elderly care service? What's a
model equivalent? Up to case studies which will be like this
