III. RATIONALE:
Science brings about solutions for everyday problems and provides answers to the
greatest mysteries of the universe. Science is thus one of the most important channels of
knowledge. It has a specific role, yet has various functions, for our society’s benefit, i.e.
improving knowledge and education, and enhancing the quality of life. A country can evolve
thanks to scientists who find new approaches to problems and prove new scientific laws. In this
regard,
September has been declared National Science Club Month under Presidential
Proclamation No. 264, s.2002. The proclamation authorizes Education institutions throughout the
Philippines to implement plans and activities pertinent to the event. The official theme for this
year’s celebration is “Global Science for Global Well-being”. Through a variety of events and
activities, we will delve into the set of performance of the students to celebrate this kind of event.
