LESSON PLAN in TLE – ICT CSS

Grade 9
Q1 – Week 1

CONTENT STANDARD:
The learner demonstrates understanding of the use of hand tools and equipment for computer
hardware servicing.

LO 1. Prepare hand tools and equipment for computer hardware servicing
(TLE_ICTCS7/8UT-0a-1)

I. OBJECTIVES:
>Proper use of hand tools on Assembly Disassembly System Unit
>Perform the steps on Assembly Disassembly System Unit (Make a video presentation)
II. SUBJECT MATTER:
a. Topic – Proper use of hand tools
b. References – Technology and Livelihood Education (Information and Communication
Technology).
c. Materials Needed – PowerPoint presentation, LED TV, 6 System Unit, Philip
screwdriver, Anti-static wrist strap, Laptop.
d. Subject Integration – Home Economics and English
III. PROCEDURE:
a. Preliminaries
Setting of classroom rules
Prayer
Checking Attendance
Review – Parts of computer
Selected student will identify the parts of computer by using RANDOM NAMES

Motivation – Rebus puzzle


Student will guess the puzzle by using RANDOM NAMES

b. Establishing a purpose for the lesson


 The teacher ask, “what will be our lesson for today?”
 Students will answer “parts of the computer”
 The students will read the objectives (Everybody kindly read our objectives)
 The teacher will discuss the purpose of our objectives is to perform Disassembling
Assembling process in maintaining computer units in good condition.
c. Presentation
Activity: “Give me my computer parts” (Post on the board)
>Each group will have different computer parts
>Each group will place their different computer parts to the System chassis posted
on the board.

Prompt questions:
1. Can you follow the steps?
2. If you cannot follow the steps, what will happen in your assembling and
disassembling output?
 Teacher will relate the activity on what are the procedure in cooking rice.
Integration of following the steps carefully is the best way to achieve good output.

Step 4. Install the CPU Heat Sink Step 5. Install Memory (RAM Modules)

Step 6. Place the motherboard into the case Step 7. Connect the Power Supply

Step 8. Install Graphics / Video Cards Step 9. Install Internal Drives

Step 10. Install the Add- in Cards


“We do” The teacher will divide the class into 6 groups. Pick 6 group leaders.

 Other learners will observe how to demonstrate Assemble and Disassemble
System units.

“You do” Each group will do only how to ASSEMBLE and DISASSEMBLE System
Unit. Make a video presentation.
 The teacher will present and discuss the rubrics to the learners.

 The learners focus on making video presentation about Assemble and


Disassemble System Unit with the guidance of the teacher.

Note: Before we assemble and disassemble the system unit, this is how we use hand tools properly.
Proper use of PHILIP SCREWDRIVER
 The teacher will demonstrate the proper use of PHILIP SCREWDRIVER.

 The teacher will demonstrate the proper use of Anti-Static Wrist Strap.
 The teacher will ask “What is the purpose of this?
The students will answer “To avoid parts or components of the computer from
damage”.
