Thanks to Harlan Thrombey, who built his business because he was a writer, the Thrombey family own a
book company.

Harlan knew that his daughter’s husband, Richard, was cheating on her, so he tried to make him confess.
4. What happens to Marta (the caretaker) when someone tells a lie?
Marta had a problem with lies, therefore everytime someone said one, she threw up.

At midnight Marta left the house, then she got in her car, and after leaving Thrombey’s garden, parked
outside the gate where the cameras couldn't see it. Suddenly she ran into the woods and tried to get as
close as possible to the house, without being noticed. The two Thrombey’s dog didn’t bark because they
knew her, so she managed to get to the back of the house. Finally she climbed up and sneaked in through
a secret window.

Her family came from Uruguay, so she was Uruguayan
14. What happened when Marta and the police officers went to check the security videotape?
Marta and the detectives started watching the tapes with the videos of the security cameras, but just as
they were about to see Marta's car, the videotape exploded and she was not seen.
15. What did Marta do when she found her footsteps on the ground?
Despite the detectives told her not to walk, Marrta pretended not to hear them and started walking back
and forward to destroy the tracks, also calling the dogs who ran on the evidences.
16. What did the teenager hear from the bathroom?
While Jacob was in the bathroom he overheard part of the harlan and ransom conversation, specifically
the part in which the first one was talking about his will and the second was answering with “i'm warning
you”.

The final reward from Harlan was to give all his hereditary to Marta , who had proved to be the most
responsible and the only one who was not by his side just for the money.
18. Why did Ransom go to the pub with Marta?
He wanted Marta to tell him what happened to his father and promised that he would have helped her to
get away with a part of the inheritance.

The letter required Marta to go in a place.

Marta found Fran who was about to die because Ransome gave her a lethal dose of morphine
