Caps Lock on This indicates that the letters you type now will be CAPITAL LETTERS. Press it again to turn off the Bez] key. Now, you do not see the light and the letters you type will be small letters. Caps Lock off Caps Lock key Space Bar key You can press the Space Bar key to give a one letter space/gap between each word or letter. The Space Bar key is the longest key on the keyboard. Step 4: Switch on the monitor by pressing the power button. Step 3: Switch on the CPU by pressing the power button. Once the computer is on, you will see a screen similar to the one in the picture below, It is called the desktop. You can see many small items on it. These are called icons. Notice the Start button at the bottom left corner. How to shut down a computer Step 1: Left-click on the mouse to click the Start button on your desktop.
