- Read your self-evaluation and tutor feedback from your previous lesson. Based on this, choose 2 personal aims, and state how you will achieve them.

Step 3: Target Language


- List your target language and analyse it in terms of meaning, form & pronunciation.
- Write the elicitation questions and CCQs you will ask for each target item, along with the expected answers
- If you are teaching a receptive skills lesson (reading & listening), then analyse key words from the text/audio that you think learners will need help with.
(This represents what you will teach the learners and the more thorough you are here the more prepared you will be in class.)

Step 4: Materials
-List the material you will use in the lesson and reference their source
(It is highly encouraged to use a coursebook or other published materials especially in earlier TPs)

-Consider what you know about the learners in your class
-Describe how your plan is suitable for your class (e.g., you’ve chosen a context that matches their interest and demographics).

-List 2 problems you or the learners might have in class considering your lesson aims, target language & activities. Provide a solution for each problem.

Step 7: Lesson Procedure.


- State which staging model you are using (e.g. PPP, ESA, Receptive Skills, TTT, TBL)
-Write your lesson procedure showing what you plan to happen at each stage of the lesson.
-The more thorough your notes are here the better prepared you will be. The level of detail should be sufficient for another teacher to teach this lesson
