These components play a significant role in the computer industry, but while many of
these may sound similar to others, there are still quite a lot of differences on how these
components function. Firstly, laptops are on-the-go computers that can be folded in half
and sometimes can be opened all the way in a 180 degree manner. These foldable little
computers have a built in trackpad for gliding the mouse pointer, a keyboard for typing
and its very own screen so that no external monitor is needed. Secondly, tablets are like
phones but enlarged, these devices usually look like our handheld smartphones but a
lot bigger and are far different from how desktops and laptops function. They usually
function like a phone which is limited to some areas that a laptop and desktop can
occupy, but for simple everyday use can be guaranteed to make one individuals life
easier. Furthermore, we have desktops. This component is far more complex than the
other devices mentioned, this component usually comprises of a seperate monitor,
keyboard, mouse and its very own tower with all the components that a desktop needs.
Parts inside this component are a lot easier to handle, easily upgradable unlike laptops
which limits to uprading some parts and lasty built for high rated games and everyday
use. Lastly are servers. Servers are specialized computers or hardware systems
designed to provide various services, resources, or functionalities to other computers or
devices, typically over a network. These big sets of computers are used for proper
monitoring in the network for clients.
2. Describe the purpose and uses of smartphones, digital cameras, portable and digital
media players, ebook readers, wearable devices and game devices.
Many of these devices can be seen nowadays, it is prominent to today's society for
various reasons such as entertainment, education, knowing what the latest headlines
are and most importanly for sharing data and info to other people. Smartphones are
mostly for everyday used tools, they serve as the most prominent gadget there is to
humans because of their easily acessible features such as easy web browsing, quick
downloads and many more. It is also interstingly handheld so it is very convenient.
Digital cameras are used for people who'd like to take a lot more vivid pictures
compared to smartphones, and usually for documentations and reports. Portable and
digital media players are devices used for entertainment mostly. They can play videos,
musics, show pictures and sometimes even record, which is practically for
entertainment use. Ebook readers are books found online or on an app if some people
are to lazy to go to the library or in any case where the book they found on Ebook is not
in the library. These are mostly used for entertainment and education. Wearable devices
like smartwatches are like smartphones but more compact and limited, they can do
things like call, text, tell the time, track your fitness, check your heartrate and many
more. They are mostly used by people who have an interest in smartwatches. Another
example are VR's or virtual reality where they fall in the category of gaming devices.
These devices are used for gaming and entertainment purposes mostly. Various devices
have been known as gaming devices such as gaming consoles like the Playstation,
Xbox and Nintendo. And smartphones as well these days, as well as laptops, desktops
and tablets.
These two are distinctively similar, both of these two are defined as information
gathered throughout a procedure. Data is when you have gathered several info about
one research. And information is usually the data collected and the data to be
dissiminated. These two corelate in aspects of information.
