inequities across almost every relevant metric.
Truly, you were challenged in the shift of a new normal. On this day, moving forward, we would like to congratulate all
our (awardees and) graduating students in making this far in the face of the pandemic.
After several months turned to years of waiting, this day has finally come. Today is your day. Celebrate it, own it. And

RECESSIONAL MARCH
Walking around the campus, I can hear students saying that their academic journey can be looong and boring. But just
keep your spirits high. All your sacrifices are gonna make sense someday. Always bear in mind that the longest and
toughest journeys are the most rewarding.
We have come to the end of this graduation day. The next school year will bring a lot of changes following the transition
to blended modality. In spite of this, may you continue to do your best to complete the task, overcome all the challenges,
and sharpen necessary skills.
The school years of 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 tested our resilience, determination, patience and passion for learning. To
seal this program, I would like to leave thought for all of you from Maya Angelou, acclaimed poet, once said & I quote
“If you’re always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.” end of quote.
As you continue to soar higher, there will be people who will tell you that you cannot do it. That it is impossible to
achieve that goal.
They will laugh at you, ridicule you, or try to distract and slow you down. Eventually, you might be demotivated and will
just act like a normal student.
Now remember this, learn how to selectively take other people’s opinions about you. Those that will help you elevate
yourself, not those that will break you down.
Don’t let anyone stop you from reaching your goals. And be your authentic self.
Don’t be afraid to take risks and take the road less travelled by. Get out of your comfort zone. And make sure you shine
your own personality through and you will be surprised what skills you will excel at and how you can make your own
mark on the world.
[This has been Charity Dela Cruz, once again CONGRATULATIONS!]
At this point, let us all rise for the recessional march.
