(6) WORK DESCRIPTION:

April 10 – April 14, 2023 [Week 2]

Day 1: April 10, Monday

- I started with the website analyses of another competitor namely, Cognizant

- I jotted down the good and the bad points that I observed in the website
- On basis of these points, I made a SWOT analysis for the same
- I tried to incorporate a further detailed study of the website which included-

1. Number of webpages on the website

2. The Call-To- Action buttons and website forms used to capture user data

3. Resources provided on the website for stakeholders

- I also went through several tools and techniques available online in order to check
traffic on the website and what causes the traffic (key words, CTA’s, etc)

Day 2: April 11, Tuesday

- My heads asked me to incorporate the loading times of all these websites in order to
know their responsiveness feature on both desktop and mobile.
- Therefore, I went online on the site https://pagespeed.web.dev/ to find the load times
- Later I incorporated the results in my final submission
- On this day, I started with the SWOT analysis of company Capgemini
- Repeating the same process as others, I could now analyse this company with a lot
more ease and quickly due to past experience of analysing other 4 companies’
websites.

Day 3: April 12, Wednesday

- I re-checked all the competitor’s analysis and included the missing details
- I tried to go in a little depth of the analysis and started the research/ started to learn
how a website gets traffic, attracts users, what objects are important, which features
are redundant and many more
- These gave me insights into digital marketing in a better sense
- I submitted my final submission to my heads

Day 4: April 13, Thursday

- I had my weekly meeting with the organizational mentors and they gave me valuable
feedback on my final submission
- They asked me to go into further details now and add more information to the
submission made
- This will help me increase my understanding of digital marketing and its tools even
more
- I tried to search for more information like:
 Analysing content templates
 Layouts of the website
 Where all on the website is CTA placed
 Content layout

and more…

Day 5: April 14, Friday

Holiday on occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti

(7) GENERAL OBSERAVATIONS/ LEARNINGS

- I observed that my company has recently launched a new website which is why the entire
marketing team had their schedules packed, thus I experienced that part of the corporate
where there is a lot of work load on everyone including the interns.
- I learnt a lot of new words like CTA buttons- Call to Action buttons, website forms,
typography and many more.
- Now on whenever I open any website, I have a different outlook towards it. I look at it
from a marketing point of view now and observe all the feature carefully.
- Learnt how to behave, speak, work in a corporate as it is very formal and different from
what takes place in school or university.
- This one week was quite hectic but I could get through every day with a sense of
satisfaction of learning something new every single day of the week.
