Mini Plenary:
 Ask them to share what they know about computers.
 What kinds of things do they do with computers?
 Explain that the computer cannot do anything until you tell it what to do.

CLL: Build up vocabulary by comprehending everyday words and phrases using pictures and actions.

Exposition: 15 mins
Explain that a computer is a machine made of several parts that work together just like our human body and the
main part of the computer is the CPU which behaves just like our brain. Tell them that they are going to learn the
names for the parts of a computer and how the parts go together. Demonstrate how to turn on and turn off the
computer.

Demonstration:
Teacher will demonstrate how to turn on and turn off the computer.

Practice Task: (Group work) 40mins


Point to each part of the computer system and give a brief description in simple language. The
parts that should be described are;
 mouse
 keyboard
 monitor
 system unit/C.P.U and printer. The computer is a machine

Extension Task:
Discuss different kinds of computers (laptops, desktops, tabs) that the learners see around them.
Learners will be given Paint 3D and ask them to draw parts of computer, by this they would get a chance to
practice mouse.
