PRESS RELEASE October 05,2011
On Thursday September 29th 2011 members of the Sheriffs Criminal Investigation Unit, Albany Police Detectives Office, Cohoes Police Detectives Office, Guilderland Police Department and Troopers from the New York State Police conducted a County wide investigation into prohibited sale of alcohol to minors. The officers were broken up into 3 groups within their jurisdictions; Officers used three 20 year old underage agents conduct the sting. The detail netted 19 arrests. Each person arrested was charged with 2 misdemeanors, Penal Law section: 260.20 Unlawfully dealing with a minor and ABC Law Section: 65.1 Prohibited sale of alcohol to a minor. Each subject was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the court jurisdiction where the arrest took place. Attached is a list of the subjects arrested and the stores in which they are employed.
