Table Z

The document contains a table that lists the upper tail probability Q(z) for different z-values in the standard normal distribution N(0,1). It provides the probability that a random variable from the standard normal distribution will be greater than z. The table contains Q(z) values from z=0 to z=3 in increments of 0.1. It also explains that for negative z values, the upper tail probability Q(z) is equal to 1 minus the lower tail probability P(-z). An example is given that if X~N(0,1), then the probability that X is greater than 2.1 is Q(2.1)=0.0179.

For negative z use relation:

Bagi z negatif guna hubungan:
Q( z ) = 1 − Q(− z ) = P(− z ) f (z)
Example / Contoh:
1  1 
f ( z) = exp − z 2  If X ~ N(0, 1), then
2π  2  Q(z)
Jika X ~ N(0, 1), maka
 P(X > k) = Q(k)
Q ( z ) =  f ( z )dz z P(X > 2.1) = Q(2.1) = 0.0179
