using the TRU unit plan template-not the TRU lesson plan template. The format and
implementation of the unit can take any form (project, stations etc) TCs are required to use
the Tru unit plan/lesson plan templates. The intent is to use this unit plan during your EDPR
4200 long practicum and therefore should base its content on the needs and relevant learning
outcomes of your grade/class and may be done in consultation with your TM. You may include
lessons that have been developed in other classes with permission from those instructors
(EDVP 4110) Students working with others must fairly ‘pull their weight’ and workload must be
fairly distributed (self-assessment.) At least 3 lessons must be ‘ready-to-use’ including
assessment, full lesson plans and all the ‘extras’ such as worksheet originals/black line
masters, books and resources. Groups will be ready to give a brief, informal presentation of
their unit on the last day of class.

Weekly journal entries-15%
On our Moodle, page 0, you will see an active link called Journals. This forum is where you will post 5 weekly reflections,
comments, questions and answer guided questions. The journal should reflect a high level of critical thinking and will be
used to assess your participation/engagement with class content, selected readings, etc. The entry needs to be
completed by midnight the day before the next class. Responses to entries and questions will be made to the best of my
ability. The earlier you post, the better chance you will have of receiving a response from instructor. This will count for
15% of your mark but will be a complete/incomplete score so no further rubric will be provided.

Attendance and class participation/exit tickets -10%

Active participation in class activities and discussions is expected at this level and will improve comprehension of content
and develop critical thinking/questioning skills. This will be on a pass/fail basis and no further rubric will be provided.
