The Crown of Aragón was formed from several kingdoms, including the Kingdom of Aragón, Catalan Counties, Kingdom of Valencia, Kingdom of Mallorca, Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, and the Kingdom of Naples. These territories spoke similar languages and had economic and cultural ties. King Jaime I was a powerful ruler who conquered several of these territories in the 13th century, expanding the Crown of Aragón.
