1 Preview and Reconstruction Priority

1. Preview and Reconstruction Priority

1.1 Preview
1.1.1 Changing the Recon. mode ·································································
You can change the Recon. mode to "Fast" or "Preview" only when the scan type is
"Volume".
 Fast
When the Recon. mode is set to "Fast", reconstruction during scanning is
performed under the conditions specified when settings were specified for the
original reconstruction.
 Preview
When the Recon. mode is set to "Preview", reconstruction during scanning is
performed under the conditions for tracking the scan, whereas reconstruction
with the conditions for the original reconstruction is performed after the
acquisition, the same as for multi-reconstructions. You can view the image
reconstructed in real time by tracking the scan. In addition, when the scan of
the current sequence is complete, the reconstruction finishes at the same time,
and a scan of the next sequence starts immediately. The next sequence does
not have to wait for the reconstruction process of the current sequence to be
completed.

The following describes how to set the Recon. mode to "Preview" and the scan
procedure:

1 Click the Recon. Mode button of the sequence that you want to set.
The Recon. mode is set to "Preview". To change the Recon. mode back to "Fast",
click the Recon. Mode button again.

1 Preview and Reconstruction Priority

2 Acquire images.
The preview image is displayed in the Real-time Image Display
area.
Note that "Preview" appears in the upper right corner of the preview
image.
After the scan of the sequence is complete, the scanned images are
displayed in the Scanned Image Display area. ("Preview" is
displayed in the upper right corner of the each image.)
When the examination is finished, the preview images are deleted
without being saved to the hard disk. Also, the reconstruction tasks
to be performed under the conditions of the original reconstruction
are automatically registered in the reconstruction queue.
The following is the Reconstruction Status window that appears
when a reconstruction queue is executed after an original
reconstruction task is registered in the queue:

Preview images cannot be used as reference images for a predict scan and the
AutoZoom function.

When creating a dose report or a simple dose report, or when specifying

settings for an automatic transfer, complete the creation of the original
reconstruction task before ending the examination or registering the next
patient.
If you end the examination or register the next patient before the creation of the
original reconstruction is complete, the dose report or simple dose report might
not be correctly created. If this happens, recreate the dose report or simple
dose report by referencing the operating manual Image Analysis.

1.1.2 Intelli IP Advanced mode ····································································

In Intelli IP Advanced mode, noise reduction is performed based on a statistical
model by using a successive approximation process. You can select the image filter
or the Intelli IP advanced mode only when the scan type is "Volume" and the Recon.
mode is "Preview".

2 Q1E-HC0267

1 Preview and Reconstruction Priority

1.1.3 Reference images for AutoZoom ·························································

When the Recon. mode of a volume scan is set to "Preview", the acquired images can
be used as reference images after the original reconstruction task is complete. The
original reconstruction task is registered in the reconstruction queue. Note that the
images (preview images) displayed during a scan cannot be used as reference
images.
To acquire images immediately after a volume scan, set the Recon. mode of the
volume scan to "Fast".

1.1.4 Reference images for predict scans ·····················································

When the Recon. mode of a volume scan is set to "Preview", the acquired images can
be used as reference images after the original reconstruction task is complete. The
original reconstruction task is registered in the reconstruction queue. Note that the
images (preview images) displayed during a scan cannot be used as reference
images.
To perform predict scans immediately after a volume scan, set the Recon. mode of
the volume scan to "Fast".

1.2 Reconstruction priorities

1.2.1 Multi-reconstruction tasks ··································································
You can specify priorities for multi-reconstruction tasks.
Specify the execution priorities of the reconstruction queues for each
multi-reconstruction task.
A reconstruction queue for which "Urgent" is specified is executed with top priority.
A reconstruction queue for which "High" is specified is executed with the priority
below "Urgent".
A reconstruction queue for which "Normal" is specified has the lowest execution
priority.
If multiple reconstruction tasks have the same priority, the reconstruction tasks are
registered so that they are executed in ascending order starting from the task with
the smallest multi-reconstruction number. Reconstruction queues that were not
registered at registration are registered to the end of the reconstruction queues
according to priority.

You can specify priorities for post reconstruction tasks.
The priority can be specified as "Normal", "High", or "Urgent".

When specifying the post reconstruction preference settings, you can specify
the default settings of the automatic transfer function and priority at system
startup.

The same priority will be set for all tasks in the same combination group.

When specifying the post reconstruction preference settings, you can also specify
the default execution priority for the reconstruction queues in the Post
Reconstruction Settings window.

1.2.3 Reconstruction status ·········································································

Reconstruction priorities are displayed in the Reconstruction Status window. You can
change the reconstruction priorities.

To change a reconstruction priority, select the queue that you want to change, and
then click the button of the priority that you want to specify.
To sort the reconstruction tasks, select the reconstruction task that you want to
move, and then click one of the move buttons.
You can change priorities in the Execute tab only.
