Online Movie Ticket Booking System

Introduction and Objectives of the Project:


The Online Movie Ticket Booking System aims to provide users with a
convenient platform to browse, select, and book movie tickets online. The
project's primary objective is to simplify the movie ticket booking process for
users and enhance their overall movie-going experience.
The project “Online Movie Ticket Booking System” is dedicated to the general
requirements of multiple theaters. The main objective of the project is to create
an Online Movie Ticket Booking processing that allows customers to know
about new movies & their schedules & cinema locations & class and ticket price
etc. In the booking process when customer selects his city then cinemas of that
city are filtered. In next step he/she selects his/her desired cinema where he/she
wish to see movie & then selects movie and other details like show date & show
time & class and no of tickets. Based on given parameters, a graphical layout
of seat status is visible to the customer. Now customer can select his desired
seat location and number of seats. The administrator will be able to see all
booked and canceled tickets.

Analysis:
The project involves the use of software development principles to create a
user-friendly web application. The analysis phase includes the following
components:
- Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) up to the second level
- Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ER Diagrams) for database modeling
- Class Diagrams for object-oriented design

Project Structure:
The project is structured as follows:
- Modules: User Registration, Movie Listings, Seat Selection, Payment
Gateway, Booking History
- Each module will be described in detail to estimate the student's effort for
implementation.
- Data structures will be designed to store user information, movie details,
seating arrangements, and booking history.
- Process logic for each module will be defined to outline the functionality and
flow of operations.
