5. Solve (𝐱 + 𝟐𝐲 − 𝟏) 𝐝𝐱 + (𝐱 + 𝟐𝐲 + 𝟏)𝐝𝐲 = 𝟎.
6. Solve (𝒙 + 𝟐𝒚 − 𝟑)𝒅𝒙 + (𝟐𝒙 − 𝒚 + 𝟏)𝒅𝒚 = 𝟎.
7. Solve (𝒙𝟑 𝒚𝟑 + 𝟐𝒙𝒚)𝒅𝒚 = 𝒅𝒙.
8. Solve (𝟒𝒙𝟐 𝒚 − 𝟔)𝒅𝒙 + 𝒙𝟑 𝒅𝒚 = 𝟎.
9. Find an integrating factor in the form 𝒙𝒉 𝒚𝒌 and then solve 𝟑𝒚 𝒅𝒙 − 𝟐𝒙 𝒅𝒚 +
𝒙𝟐 𝒚−𝟏 (𝟏𝟎𝒚 𝒅𝒙 − 𝟔𝒙 𝒅𝒚) = 𝟎.
10. Show that a constant ‘a’ can be found so that (𝒙 + 𝒚)𝒂 is an integrating factor of
(𝟒𝒙𝟐 + 𝟐𝒙𝒚 + 𝟔𝒚) 𝒅𝒙 + (𝟐𝒙𝟐 + 𝟗𝒚 + 𝟑𝒙) = 𝟎 and hence solve the
equation.
