FISHING MATERIALS AND IT'S USES
1. HOOK - a hook used to catch fish either by piercing and embedding onto the
inside of the fish mouth (angling) or, more rarely, by impaling and snagging the
external fish body.
2. FISHING LINE - a long threaded material (usually nylon, silk or wire,) used
with a fishing rod to catch and reel in fish. It is what is cast from the rod, flies
through the air, and ultimately lands down into the depths of the water.
3. FISHING ROD - a fishing rod is a straight rigid stick/pole with a line attached to one end. Fishing
rods act as an extended lever and allow the angler to amplify line movements while
luring and pulling the fish.
4. BITE INDICATOR - A bite indicator is a mechanical or electronic device which
indicates to an angler that something is happening at the hook end of the fishing line.
5. FISHING CHAIR - A fishing chair is a type of folding chair that is used for
comfortable and supportive seating on your fishing trips.
6. FISHING BOBBER - Fishing bobbers attach to your line and keep it on the surface
until a fish strike. It is a lightweight buoy that servesas a visual bite indicator that helps
the angler assess underwater status of the baited hook and decide whether to start
retrieving the line.
7. SINKER - A sinker is a weight attached to your fishing line about 6 - 10 inches above
the hook. It forces a hook with bait to sink and keeps your bait down near the lake or
river bottom, where most fish swim.
8. BAIT - Fishing bait is any substance used to attract and catch fish.
9. FISHING BUCKET - Fishing bucket is used to store tackle, anchors, cast net, lunch,
water, bait, ice and fish.
10. LINE CUTTER - It is used to cuts clean and precise through braided line, mono
line, and fluoro line. With the built-on carabiner, clip it to your hip or vest so it's always
handy and never lost.
11. FISHING GLOVES - Fishing gloves are specially constructed hand coverings that
are used by professional fishermen as well as many fishing enthusiasts. The gloves
perform the same function as any pair of gloves, in that they help to keep the fingers and
palms of the hands warm and comfortable.
