Activity Sheet-Distinguishes Between Exponential Function, Exponential Equation, and Exponential Inequality.

The document defines exponential functions, equations, and inequalities. An exponential function is of the form f(x)=bx where b is the base and b>0 but not equal to 1. An exponential equation involves exponential expressions set equal to each other, while an exponential inequality involves exponential expressions with inequality symbols like < or ≥. Examples of each are given. The document then provides two tasks - the first asks to identify whether given expressions are exponential functions, equations, or inequalities. The second task repeats this for additional expressions. The document is signed by the subject teacher providing the activity sheet.

Activity Sheet
The learner distinguishes between exponential function, exponential equation, and exponential
inequality. M11GM-Ie-4
Exponential function is a function in the form f ( x )=b xwhere b is called the base and b> 0 but
not equal to 1.
Exponential inequality, an inequality includes a variable in the exponent. It contains symbols
of (¿) ,(¿) ,(¿),(≥).
The definitions of exponential equation, inequalities and functions are shown below:

An exponential equation or inequality can be solved for all x values that satisfy the equation or
inequality. An exponential function expresses a relationship between two variables (such as x and y )
and can be represented by a table of values or a graph.
